Standard Remoska Electric Table Top Cooker with Glass Lid 2L

Purchased this Ramoska for my mother to replace one she bought about 15 years ago. They cook quickly, efficiently and the food tastes amazing, quite different from any other way of cooking. My mother at 83 wouldn't be without hers, living on her own she finds it easy to use, providing her with good nutritious home made food in a manageable way, including stews, soups, roasts with vegetables, cakes and much more. And then with just one pan to wash which is a wipe clean easy task for her. If you're thinking of buying one, don't hesitate, you won't regret the purchase.

This is the 2nd Remoska I have had. The first one lasted about 7 years and I only stopped using it because I dropped the lid!!! During that time I did not use my big oven at all, and I also took it caravanning. It is great to have a new one, the style has reverted to the original with the glass viewing window which I like (previous one also had glass window). The initial cost is fairly high but the saving on electric is huge. I am alone now but I can cook a roast with very little effort. I thought it was wasteful to heat the big oven just for one dinner so rarely had a roast.. The temperature is not adjustable but I find it is just right to roast etc. (Just eaten roast chicken, parsnips, tatties and courgettes all cooked in the one pan.) Yummy!!! Would recommend.

Our second in over 20 years ! Wouldn’t be without one. Still finding new uses for this very economical cooker.

Bought to use in our motorhome but tried it out first at home. Basically, everything you'd cook in main oven you can cook in this. Roast potatoes are amazing, jacket potatoes, reheated shepherds pie and apple crumble. Baked salmon, roasted chicken cooked sausages. Takes just about the same time as in a normal oven but you don't have to pre heat first so that saves a bit of time and also really easy to clean. I'd recommend this and if nit firvtge expense I'd probably buy the larger one fir home as well! There's no temperature control which I knew but I haven't had any disasters do far.

The light on the on/off switch has stopped working. I believe this is a common fault and the lids are being replaced

I was very surprised at the standard of packaging. The box was battered ans covered in cellotape, and has been opened before.. The remoska itself was not affected but one got the impression from the bad packaging, rightly or wrongly, that the item was a reject. Hence 4 stars.

This is the fourth Ramoska we have had over many years. A wonderful invention. Keeps cooking cost to a minimum. Small and compact for work surface.

I wanted something that would help in not having to use the oven so often. This was certainly the pan for the job. I read quite a few reviews by practised users but this was new to me so a bit of a learning curve. I just had to remember that it basically roasts food as an oven would. I did also buy a rack. The non stick coating makes it extremely easy to clean. Food tastes good as there is seldom any need to add water. It is also very economical I'm still learning but very pleased so far.
