Schwinn Compact Elliptical Machine, One Size

Llevo varios meses con la elíptica y me ha funcionado perfectamente, la uso una hora diario, y no he tenido problemas, he leido notas al respecto del ruido generado por los rieles de guía, en efecto se escucha un ruido por fricción, pero nada que con un poco de grasa o silicona no se pueda corregir, de ahí en más El equpio funciona perfectamente

Overall, very solid and feels like it should last. Moves smoothly and quietly and is mechanically very good. (I did have problems with delivery - Amazon initially delivered a used Sunny stationary bike (complete with the shipping label showing the previous purchaser's name and address!). When I told the 2 Amazon delivery people, they said that "by law" they had to leave it then just walked to their truck and drove away. I'm still waiting for pickup of the wrong item...) When the proper Schwinn 430 arrived, it appeared to be new and in good condition. Assembly was straight-forward once I was able to get everything out of the tightly packed box. Tools are included although you might want to use your own tools if you have them. There is only 1 step (installing console mast) where it would be nice to have a third hand to hold something while attaching bolts. I did wipe the rails with silicone and made sure everything moved smoothly before trying it out. Others have reported issues with the rollers so I'm going to keep an eye on them and keep the rails clean and lubricated. The machine is comfortable to use and feels ergonomically correct. Even though I've never been accused of having long legs, I'm glad I got a machine with a 20" stride and not shorter. The incline adjustment makes a big difference on which muscles in my legs are used and the manual adjustment is very quick and easy to use. Resistance adjustment is easy with several buttons on the console. Resistance level is shown on the lower display but you have to scroll through 3 screens and you can't show elapsed time and resistance at same time. My only real disappointments are with the console. The built in speakers are small and sound muddy - my iPad has better sound. There is no bluetooth connection, and the only input for sound is via a ⅛" jack. I was going to buy an adapter but then realized I'm better off just not using those speakers. The built in fan makes more noise than it moves air (not surprising as the whole thing runs off a 9 volt adapter that plugs into the wall and connects via a skinny wire to the front of machine). The dual screen is monochrome and definitely looks like it belongs on equipment made many years ago. My upper screen initially had black areas scattered throughout - may have been from pressure on it during shipping and is slowly improving with time. It has multiple programs for various levels of exercise, but I would be more inclined to use them with a better interface. Most of the time I just prefer to adjust the resistance (and incline) manually and not bother with the programs and stats. As noted above, I wish that I could view resistance level and elapsed time together. One other minor pet peeve; although the assembly manual was included, you have to go online to see the operation manual. I'm all for saving trees, but the paper saved is extremely small compared to all the packing material that comes with the elliptical, and I personally prefer having a manual that I can look at anywhere and add notes to. Overall a good machine that feels professional in quality. The console needs a major refresh (bluetooth, better interface and graphics) but for me that's not a really big deal. I would still be happy with just resistance adjustment buttons, time and perhaps heart rate readouts. I was looking for something that felt solid and enjoyable to use but didn't cost a fortune, and this fits the bill.

11 Abril 2022 Puntos buenos: - Muy buen precio para una elíptica que contiene varios niveles de resistencia, un mini ventilador, y no requieres la ultima tecnología solo para ejercitarte en casa. Punto medio - Está pesada, mido 1.54cm, necesité ayuda de otras 2 personas para armarla en conjunto por que pesan algunas de sus partes y mientras alguien sostiene los tubos, otra persona atornilla. No incluye en manual en español, solo en ingles y portugués, si lo quieres en español hay que descargarlo directamente de la página del fabricante. Punto malo - A revisar - Hace mucho ruido en la parte de los rieles (adjunté un video para que lo escuchen). Compré un spray de silicon para ponerlo a los rieles y la rueda que va debajo de los pedales, con eso el ruido disminuyó a la mitad de lo que escuchan en el video, pero se mantiene un poco, desconozco que tan normal es esto. Mandé un correo a al soporte técnico del fabricante, dependiendo de como me vaya, actualizo este comentario.

This review is for the Schwann 430. First box arrived not in the best shape. Delivery was with a contracted freight delivery service. They did call to schedule a delivery day and time which was great. My husband had to help the one delivery driver so take that into consideration if you can help lift the 182lbs box of elliptical. The elliptical was only damaged on the foam handles thankfully. The elliptical was easy to assemble. 1 person can do it if you don’t have a second person. But 2 people I’d recommend. Make sure all the peices mate perfect especially at the crank bearings. Ensure you clean excess grease around bearings before installing screws. I applied blue loctite to each screw before installing them tight. No noise or squeaks so far. You will not get any loose screws if done correctly. Also I bought silicone treadmill lubrication for the tracks. Make sure to periodically clean the tracks and rollers and apply a fresh application of silicone lubrication. Do not use wd40! This machine will stay quiet no noise whatsoever. If you get any noise you either have bolts becoming loose (creating some play) or you did not install pieces together perfectly (have play around bearings). The machine is great for non commercial. The calorie counter is a bit off but I don’t count calories. I like the manual incline and just leave it on the highest setting. One less thing to break compared to the motorized 470 model. Display is not backlit. But compared to the 470 that has blue backlit and white font so that can’t be any better. So it doesn’t justify the higher price tag. So far the machine is good for what it is and price. Buy on sale. It does makes you sweat and almost as good as gym quality. Lastly I only wish the middle handles and water bottle holder were a littler higher as they can bump into your knees when incline set to the 100%. Edit - started to make noises crank arms, and squeaks with lubricant to roller wheels.
