Crisp citrus notes, and a beautifully smooth-Perfect for Pour-Overs!
I appreciate high-quality ingredients, and these organic, single-origin Ethiopian heirloom beans do not disappoint. The moment you open the bag, the freshness and the aroma is amazing. I grind these whole beans fresh right before brewing. It has a wonderfully silky texture that shines exceptionally well when made as a pour over/drip coffee using my Nespresso machine. It brews into an incredibly smooth cup with beautiful citrus and bright fruit undertones, finishing with just a hint of subtle sweetness. It completely avoids that harsh burnt or overly acidic taste you get with many commercial roasts Knowing it is 100% certified organic and sustainably sourced makes it an easy item to keep stocked in my kitchen and it’s very affordable.

A very good quality Ethiopian coffee
A very good quality Ethiopian coffee. Beans were fresh, or at least not stale (as you get in so many mass produced coffees), the flavor and aroma are really good as well. I used this to make espressos and lattes, and it holds up to that strength well.

Fantastic Coffee Beans!
Coffee is fantastic! This is my favorite bean for the past two years! I use it for my daily espresso and occasionally in my french press.

The batch I received is not very flavorful
This bag is lacking in the fruit and floral flavors that this Ethiopian is known for. There is almost no aroma which is surprising for a medium roast. It has a slight citrus flavor and almost no sweetness. I've been using an Aeropress with it and I may try using a pour over method to see if I can extract some goodness out of these beans. I'm a little disappointed because Groundwork has a decent reputation.

Terrible Flavor. Double the cost of other organic coffee. Threw it away.
I got this as a substitute for my regular brand; half the size for the same price (eg: double the cost) and it is DISGUSTING. Absolutely terrible flavor. Despite the cost I had to throw it away because it was undrinkable. If you told me that it was loaded with artificial chemical flavoring to get the "fruity notes" I would believe you. That's how bad it was.

Bright and Delicious for pour over
This one really as a pour-over. Clean, bright flavors with a hit of fruit that makes it super refreshing. Definitely one of the better light roasts I have had highly recommend if you like pour over
