So, I will admit I didn’t pay close enough attention to this when I bought it and thought it had a DVD drive in it. It doesn’t. But, with a minor pivot I’m happier with it than I think I would’ve been if I had ordered what I thought I wanted. We bought a fire stick to plug into it (we have car WiFi from our cellular carrier) and were able to plug it in so that there were no hanging cords. The kids are now able to stream while we’re stuck in the car for hours and I have some sanity again! It was easy to install (there was a DVD player already in the car when I bought it so using the existing connections was easy) and took us about 1/2 an hour start to finish. It has a good clear picture and being able to do more than just stream TV is a really nice added benefit. My son is looking forward to testing his Xbox on it during our next road trip. And the added interior lights it provides was an unexpected bonus that has really come in handy. Overall I am happy with the quality, and features for the price. I ended up talking my sister into buying one for her SUV also. So I would say I definitely recommend.

Easy set up, love it

I am so unsure about this device it is frustrating. The design is awesome. The profile is slim smooth and sleek. Almost reflects a laptop style shape size etc. Picture is great looking, EXCEPT for some reason there is a ton of lines through the screen. The company asked for pictures and only reply in middle of the night, probably replying from China. They asked me to return but that is not possible at this time. I waited over a month for the installer to get to my project. Between the screen and the custom install i have about a 1,000.00 wrapped into this overhead monitor. So i was advised to return and repurchase. Waiting a month to get the installer to remove and then another month with holes in my roof and dangling wires is not what I would expect from XTRONS especially since i bought their highest priced monitor from them. Save your time and money before installing this custom piece into your vehicle. Not worth the hassle. EDIT 10-12-2020 - Due to COVID I was unable to have the shop replace my unit for they faulty one in a timely manner. Xtrons said i can have the old one repaired but i can not return the item since i went past the 30 days. OR i can return it for an 80% refund. Based on the pics it is defective but since i had to work around covid and poor products i get penalized in the end. Sounds fair right? Not buy a name brand you recognize. Don't fall into my same situation.

Wanted an hdmi capable unit of decent size for the kids on long trips for movies or gaming (no android needed) . The 1080p is appreciated. per dimensions, this looked like it would just barely cover up the OEM hole from the stock 7” rear entertainment units. Why no one in the US, Japan, or China has latched onto the requirement for high end video to match aftermarket audio without cheesy and undesired “features” is beyond me. This segment hasn’t improved in the last 15 years as most of these problems plagued units when I did this in my prior suburban. 1) no audio rca outputs. I don’t want fm modulation. I don’t want output from the tiny onboard speakers. Don’t need headphones. Just give me a pair of rcas I can plug into the head unit. 2) why they put the hdmi port on the outside of the case is beyond me. I don’t want a cord draping. This should be a hidden dongle up top for access so you can run hidden down to a port on the center console. 3) the lighting with the door +\- feature…. Arg!? I have a dome light with ground, constant 12v+ (for map lights) and door switched 12v+ . I would think the latter would go to door+ but nothing I tried works. Tried their support they just recite the unclear description from this page. The blue manual light - gimmick/useless. I’m reserved to cutting open the ceiling and mounting an OEM dome light in non standard location. 4) cheesy look and feel both on the outside, in the buttons and the menus. Is it better than the crappy 7” plastic heavy Panasonic stock RSE unit it replaced? Display-wise, yes. Common sense, usability wise, no. It’s like it was designed by some 15 year old techie kid who’s never seen or ridden in a car before. Last thing: In my application ( gmt900), the plastic-heavy stock stuck was 2” deep and pulled tight against the headliner. This thing is so thin (admittedly a nice selling point) that there’s a significant gap around most of the outside (if you try to retain the factory bracket with minimal modifications to make it flat ). I built a wood frame, painted it gloss black to resolve. I was afraid to take that OEM bracket out and other how-tos did what i did (dremel/cut the "high" (low) spots off)

One photo is what Toyota installed, claiming I could stream from my iPhone or use a thumb drive. Neither option works. Total price to install junk from 2004...$1795. Other photo is this product, screen mirroring works if you purchase an additional dongle, but you don’t even really need to screen mirror for this unit to be awesome. Only ended up spending $600 total after finding someone to install it. I was skeptical about this product when I learned it was being shipped from Hong Kong, but the seller uses FedEx. Miraculously arrived at my house about three days after ordering. Seller is also VERY responsive if you have questions. But definitely go this route vs letting a car dealership install some “lowest bidder, third party piece of junk.”

This product is marketed great,you can stream you movies and media off your phone wrong!! You must first purchase their adapter separately witch is a pain to get to connect the instructions are a bit confusing and once you get it to connect it will not let you connect to your phone in my case IPhone, it will mirror everything else except video apps and downloaded I tried via USB downloaded movies but will only let you ever play one movie that’s it, I then tried with a mini SD card but also no luck nothing seems to work as it should, the sound must be streamed through your cars FM station worst audio ever! Not very happy to top it off there is a no return policy on this product.

Fabolous screen! Great value for money. Got it fitted in a VW Multivan. Wasn't sure about size but 17inch turned out to be the perfect one. Outstanding image and audio. Had a problem with faulty headsets but Seller would solve It straight away. Bear in mind that installation needs to be undertaken by a professional. It's a mayor job

El producto fue instalado en una camioneta Toyota Sienna en conjunto con un Chrome Cast y funcionó perfectamente !!!! no requerí de un adaptador HDMI a mini HDMI. La pantalla tiene una resolución increíble y no fue difícil de instalar en el techo de la Camioneta Toyota Sienna. Estoy encantado con esta compra. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
