I already use the Black Voyage backpack for all my travel needs, and this compression bag is the perfect space-saving addition—ideal for packing extra clothes or keeping essentials tightly organized. The included vacuum pump is compact yet powerful, and it even comes in a reusable tote that can double as a travel storage pouch. While I haven’t taken it on a trip yet, first impressions are strong. This looks like a well-designed, high-quality product that will seriously level up my packing game. Highly recommended.

These bags are really high quality! The material and zipper feel really nice and well-built. They are waterproof and come with a little handle on the side if you want to carry just the bag to a pool or beach or something like that. Size-wise, these are perfect to fit inside your carry on or large backpack once vacuum-sealed, and you can bring along an extra one (the come in a pack of 3) for dirty/laundry clothes to keep them separate on the way back from your trip. I went through the process of packing one of the 18L bags in the video, and I could have put a ton more clothing in the bag before sealing it! I highly recommend giving these a try. They are very functional and help save quite a bit of space for over-packers like me!

I’m genuinely impressed with this Black Voyage reusable vacuum compression bag. I bought it for an international trip and it made packing so much easier. The material feels durable and high-quality, and the waterproof design gave me peace of mind. The compression is incredible — it reduced the bulk of my clothes way more than I expected, and the included pump works fast. I fit way more into my carry-on without feeling like I was overstuffing my suitcase. It’s lightweight, reusable, and folds flat when not in use. Honestly one of the best travel purchases I’ve made. Highly recommend for anyone who wants extra space without checking a bag.

I haven’t used these on a trip yet, but I purchased them for an upcoming two week trip to Thailand where we will be traveling with backpacks only. I tested them at home and they seem very well made. The bags feel durable and the airtight zipper closure is similar to a Yeti cooler bag and seals securely. I also like that it comes with a small travel size vacuum, which will be convenient while traveling. Based on initial testing, these seem like they will be great for saving space!! Will come back to this review and add pictures once we use them!

Update to previous review: I have updated my rating to 4 stars because the customer service with this company is top notch. They reached out to me after my initial review and they were so quick in their responses and diligent in working out a satisfactory solution. I tried the vacuum bags out weeks before my trip so I could see how they work. I bought the 41L for carry-on. I was able to put 8 pairs of shorts with 8 tops, 3 dresses, 3 swimsuits, a beach cover-up & all my undies. The bag still had some room so it wasn't too tight to zip. All of this fit into my carry-on without the vacuum bag but it was full. Not much room for shoes or toiletries. When I deflated the bag it probably compressed about 3 inches. Nothing like the photo as advertised. If you look closely at slide #6 it is very misleading but what I didn't notice until after purchasing was how it says the before is 10 inches and the after says 8 inches when clearly there is a much larger difference than 2 inches in the images presented with those measurements. That is why I am rating only 3 stars. I was tricked but my fault for not realizing the false advertising before I bought it. The compression does make a difference though and with the vacuum bag I can probably add a few pair of sandals and still stay within carry-on guidelines. I'm sure I can also stuff some toiletries around the edges. I will most likely keep the bags because I don't want to check any luggage but there is no way you can get twice as much inside a regulation carry-on . Also, I do not think that if I were packing larger winter clothes that these bags would fit as much as they claim. Another thing to mention is that after 19 hours my clothes were only slightly wrinkled. Not as bad as I expected however my expectations were based off of the misleading photo presented. Other notes: there seemed to be no air leakeage after 19 hours and I had no problems with the zipper. Material quality seems pretty good too.

Excellent product! We are similar bags on social media. After reading reviews we landed on these specific ones and their larger sibling. They are definitely the game changer described by others. I happen to like the bigger bag that zips on three sides as it fits perfectly in my carry on and is easier to pack than these center zip bags. ( Same brand). The smaller ones give me flexibility that the larger does not. I can pack 2 of these, one on top of the other in the space the other bag takes. Lots of flexibility here. Key is to pack the bags properly. Don't roll the cloths and place in the bag, you can't get the air out. Fold shirts into neat rectangles, fold pants in thirds and alternate the waist bands. Put firmer pants on the bottom and softer on top to allow it to compress better. I don't know if these tips were on their website, I read them in a post online and am sharing a beat practice to get the most out of the bags. The warranty seems terrific even though I haven't needed it. The materials are solid.

I bought the Black Voyage Large Vortex Vacuum Bags for traveling with our bulky winter coats, and they worked perfectly. We were able to pack big jackets and other cold-weather gear, then shrink everything down to flat, compact bundles that fit easily in our luggage. The material feels sturdy, the seal holds well, and nothing puffed back up during the trip. These bags saved us tons of suitcase space and made traveling with winter gear way less stressful. Definitely worth it.

These bags are amazing! I fit so much clothes in one and was able to minimize having to take a larger suitcase. I have tried the regular clear space bags and hated how the plastic would stick out and be awkward and the hole to deflate the bag sticks out making it impossible to stack them and then they would never hold air. These bags don’t have the extra plastic or the lump in the middle making them easy to stack and when they deflate, there’s no weird corner sticking out and they hold the air after multiple uses. The quality of these bags is fantastic! It’s a thick plastic but soft enough that it doesn’t make that loud crinkle noise and holds up well. That vacuum is a bit loud but works well and fast. The vacuum comes with different pieces to fit different items you may need to inflate or deflate. I really love these bags and I will be purchasing the bigger ones for longer travels so I can pack more clothes! For reference, I have 6 shirts, 4 button ups, 2 scarves, 2 long dresses, 2 sweaters, 1 set of long pajamas, and 3 pants in the 18L bag.
