The product was not at all packed properly. But that didn't bother me at all. Of course everyone would expect a wonderful unboxing, but that wasn't the case with this one. It was literally just tearing off plastic covers that concealed the item.Now, coming to the product itself, there is no difference in the real product with the pictures provided here. The build quality is very robust even though it is entirely made up of plastic. It looked cool in the pictures and trust me, it's even better in person. The cables of the SATA to USB 3 and the power supply were thicker than the average budget solutions, thus concluding that this is a product made with the physical quality being one of the top priorities of the manufacturer.Coming to the functionality of this adapter, there were absolutely no flaws whatsoever. It performed as one would expect but the performance also depends on the HDD/SSD one uses this with. I did find one thing odd though; though it said in the description that one has to plug in the power supply for any kind of drives to be worked with, it worked completely fine with the 2.5 inch drives even without the power supply. Of course, this would not be possible for the 3.5 inch drives as they actually do require additional power as the SATA connector will not be able to supply enough power to run the drive. This is just something technical and is probably something that every technician/tech-freak already knows.Of all the similar devices I've seen online I picked this personally because it looked better and also described the functionality that I wanted. After receiving the product, I was sure that I was not at all disappointed and the product is actually much better than expected.

I have searched for a way to connect my backup 3.5inch HDD (removed from a WD Mybook recently) so that I could backup data and continue using the drive.I have searched with dealers on SP road and other places but nobody was offering any solutions. AmazonBasics' HDD enclosure is not available in India.Saw Storite on Amazon and decided to give it a chance. Was skeptical of it working but I was wrong. The connector works and transfers at USB 3 speeds. Only wish they offered this in an enclosure. Would make it easier to store and use the HDD.My only issue with this product is the flimsy power adapter. The rest is good.

This product is working properly. I have connected my 350gb seagette harddisk, The connections are easy just follow the steps as described in the details section. Easy to use but the power adapter cable is too short. With USB 3.0 data transfer has become faster. The maximum data transfer speed which I recorded was 58mbps to a HDD and 102mbps to a SSD. The price is bit high but the product is awesome. Go for it👍

Too costly and need external power. There are many sites where you get SATA cable for cheaper cost and without power

It works fine with samsung SSDs, 3.5" seagate 500Gb and 2TB drives, but fails to work with 3.5" Seagate 1TB with all the power cables connected in the order as per instructions. so had to return, 50:50 success rate

The best product to have incase you primary system fails someday. You will still be able to access your data from hard disk by connecting it to some other system. The device is well built. Used it for 4-5 times now. The read write handling speed of the interface is good.

At first I got a very bad product in very bad packaging. It did not work. So I asked for a replacement. Now the replacement has come and I have been able to retrieve data from my WD5000AADS HDD (500 GB) and also format it and store fresh data on it. Kudos to Amazon for the hard work and the replacement.
