I love how durable this garlic press is. It is really easy to use and clean and the handle design feels good in the hand. It does not take a lot of pressure to press garlic cloves and for the price point it was a great pick. I have had several others that have cracked in the past but the material it is made from, seems much more durable.

OXO does a good job on most of their products. You can usually count on quality. And this item is no different. It's nice and heavy and appears that it will last a long time. Selfishly, I wish it was a little bigger so I could do five cloves at a time, or more. But it does more than one clove just fine. Great mechanical leverage. It cleans easily with the red pokey parts cleaning out the extrusion holes well. Take some minute to clean before putting it in the dishwasher and the dishwasher takes care of the rest. I think you're design team does a good job with your products and your manufacturing team continues to make quality items. Good job.

I purchased the OXO Good Grips Heavy Duty Garlic Press to replace a much more expensive garlic press from Crate & Barrel that I had received from my wedding registry. Unfortunately, the handle on that one snapped off within a year, which was really disappointing. This OXO version feels sturdy and well made. The die-cast zinc construction gives it a solid feel, and the handles provide good leverage so pressing garlic is easy. It crushes cloves efficiently without requiring much effort. The grip is comfortable to hold, and cleanup is simple as well. So far it feels durable and much more reliable than the pricier one it replaced. Overall, this has been a great replacement and a solid kitchen tool. Sometimes the simpler, well-designed option ends up being the better choice.

You need this garlic press in your life! No doubt about it. This was my 3rd garlic press I've purchased in 25 years. The first two didn't work very well but since I use a lot of garlic, I hung in there, using them. In frustration a few weeks ago I looked up garlic presses on Amazon and came upon the OXO version. I love every OXO product I have purchased and find them sturdy and very well-designed. I read the reviews for this press and didn't mind spending the $$ for this one if it was going to work. After just two uses, I knew I had struck gold! This is the best, the very best and the only one you will ever need for life. The red 'pusher outer' part that loosens the remaining garlic after the pressing is a rigid plastic and will not fail. After I press my garlic I use the pusher outer part one time and rinse. Everything rinses cleanly from the press. Quick, easy and I cannot say enough good about this extremely well-made product. Gift yourself with this item or buy it for people that really love garlic.

This is my third garlic press in recent years. It's the only one I love. It's super solid -- I expect it to last my lifetime. It's simple. It's really easy to clean. It crushes large amounts of garlic with minimum hand force.

This is the best garlic press out in the market. It's very simple to use, is very well made and easy to clean. It really is a great design and works well as intended. The red plastic "cleaner" is a great feature that truly does push any embedded garlic out of the holes. I highly recommend this product.

i hesitated buying this as there were cheaper options, but decided i didn't want to be disappointed in an inferior model and risk having to buy a new one. I have no regrets now as it is wonderful to use. You can put a few cloves in there, and if you're 'petite' like me, you might need to use 2 hands to squeeze down on it but because of the thick ergonomic handles, doesn't put stress on your palms or wrist. It's heavy duty so just be careful not to drop it on your counter or floor. Also the clever design means you can flip one handle around so it pushes out the remaining garlic trapped in the holes. Rinse out the press right after using so it makes clean up a breeze, it simply rinses out. It says you can use it without peeling the garlic, but it got a little messy and since i don't want to waste any of the garlic, I've always removed the skins first. i also use a small knife to scrape off the minced garlic after pressing, then use it to shift the flattened cloves around, and re-press, so I don't waste anything. I love how it makes light work of mincing all my garlic - and I'm very happy with my purchase.
