I love this little dryer. My husband is deployed so I moved back to my home state to be with family and I’m living in a tiny apartment until he comes back. I had to sell my full size washer and dryer before moving here. I bought my mini washer when we first arrived and have just been hanging everything to dry, but that was becoming such a horrible chore, so I looked for a portable dryer to go with it the other day. First off, this thing is TINY. I actually wasn’t expecting it to be so small based on other people’s pictures here. So I’ve included my own to try and help show how small it really is. That said, it still gets the job done. The load size from my mini washer fits perfectly inside, and it’s able to get everything dry in about 2 hours. Much longer than a full size dryer of course, but waaaaay faster than hanging stuff to dry. Last night I dried two large towels inside with zero problems. Also, I almost didn’t buy this because I saw people saying you have to vent it outside... YOU DON’T. You can if you really want to, but it’s not necessary. As long as you’re not blocking the back vent (which I took a picture of) it’s fine! My exhaust vent is facing my mirror, and I’ve stuck my hand back there and the glass isn’t even getting hot. It even comes with hardware to hang the whole dryer on the wall (I’m not joking). So trust me, you don’t need to vent it outside. It does make my bathroom area slightly warmer but not so much that it’s uncomfortable. I was able to stand there and dye my hair last night while it was running and I was fine. So overall, I would absolutely recommend this for anyone living in a small apartment! I have two kids and two dogs and it’s been able to keep up with all my laundry so far!

I purchased this dryer more than a year ago. I use it every single day to dry clothes, jeans, bath towels and some bed sheets. So far it’s still working. I live in a small apartment and it’s very convenient to be able to dry my clothes at the comfort of my home. For heavy fabric clothes like jeans or cotton jackets, may take longer to dry, but if I spin the clothes twice after washing it helps dry them a little faster.

I’ve had this little dryer for a couple of weeks now and it has made my life so much easier. I live in a tiny one bedroom apartment and have next to no storage space. I was able to fit this on top of the shelving unit I have in my bathroom over my toilet. I used a couple of bungee cords to hold it in place just to be safe since it does cause the shelf to rattle a bit while it’s running. I’ve seen some reviews complaining about how long it takes for things to dry, but I feel like they’re expecting a little too much out of such a small machine. It’s not a traditional dryer, it’s not high powered, so naturally it will take a bit longer for things to dry. I haven’t yet tried anything really heavy duty in it, such as the jeans I wear for work, but I expect something like that will probably take two full cycles to get completely dry. Also, I use wool dryer balls and those definitely help clothes dry faster. Before I bought this I would have to hang dry my clothes, and particularly in the winter when it gets really cold, it was not unusual for things to take a couple to days to fully dry, so doing laundry was a task that I had to plan a few days in advance. This makes my life so much easier. My biggest gripe, and the reason I’m knocking a star off, is because of the issue with the belts. I’ve seen several other reviews complain about this, and it seems to be something the company is fully aware of, and so far as I can tell it doesn’t look like it’s an issue they’re trying to resolve. It seems like most people have an issue with the black belt that turns the barrel slipping off, but my issue was the transparent belt that controls the fan. The first several times I ran the machine my clothes were not only still wet after running them through several cycles, but the dryer would run for about ten minutes, then stop and sit for a long time before starting up again. I contacted customer service to describe my issue, and after talking to them pulled off the back panel to find that the transparent belt was broken, so basically there was no air flow and the machine was overheating, hence why my clothes weren’t drying and the machine kept stopping after only a few minutes. To the company’s credit, customer service was very quick to help me figure out what the issue was and to send me a replacement belt. Once I got the new belt on -a very tedious task- the dryer worked great. Because the belts seem to be such a common issue, I would almost recommend taking the back panel off before ever using the machine just to check that both are properly in place and intact. I would hope that the company is working on ways to prevent this from being a problem in the future, but who knows. I also wonder about the longevity of the belts, so we’ll see how they hold up as time goes on and I use the machine more. For the time being however, now that the dryer is working properly, I’m pretty happy with this little machine.

EDITING THE REVIEW: After reading other reviews showing the sticker on the side stating it's a 5.5 pound capacity dryer, I decided to check the sticker on the side of mine. Sure enough, it states 5.5 lb. capacity. WTF?!?! I didn't PAY for a 5.5 pound capacity dryer I paid for a 10 pound capacity dryer. So is Costway ripping people off, or are they just putting the wrong stickers on the product. There is NO indication in ANY of the Amazon product listing page that indicates this is NOT a 10 lb. dryer. It's what I thought I was getting and it's certainly what I PAID FOR. I will be filing a complaint with both Costway AND Amazon. If neither one makes it right, I'll pursue legal redress. This is simply fraud on the part of Costway. That said, as other reviewers have said, this is a 110v dryer that will take at least 2 hours for you to dry heavy clothes in them such as a pair of jeans, or heavy shirts. However, if you're drying things like undies, socks, Tee shirts or dish/tea towels, they will take much less time. If you look at the dial, you'll see that the really hot temps are up around the 120 minute mark, while warmer temps are from about 20 minutes and up. That said, you need to put clothes in here that have been spun as dry as they can be. So, if your small washer has a spin dryer, use it. If not, get one and transfer the clothes to it and use this as a "finish" dryer. The less wet the clothes are, the faster they'll dry. My system is an 8 pound washer w/spin dry and a 13 pound spin dryer. I take the clothes from the washer after it's spun them dry and put them into the spin dryer for a 5 minute further spin. Then I throw them into this dryer for final drying. Whole process takes about 2 hours total. As for venting, it's not really needed. It comes with an angle pipe piece that fits over the vent in the back, and you can attach a regular dryer vent hose to it, but it really isn't needed. Unless you turn it up to the 2 hour mark, the heat coming out isn't all that hot. I love it quite frankly. It's also perfect for a small space, or if you're in a house or apartment, you can use it to supplement your full size dryer. I'm in an RV and it's a perfect size for this place. Right now I have it outside, but only because I haven't cleared a space yet to it to come inside. But, I've got at least 3 places I can place it once I get them cleared up.

Fantastic dryer. Being an 84-year old female who didn't want to pay thousands of dollars to get a washer and dryer moved from the basement to the upstairs, I opted to get a Costway portable washer and dryer. I did everything myself...unpacking and setting up both. They were both securely packaged and arrived on time. The only thing I would like to have seen on the dryer was instead of the controls being at the bottom they would be at the top of the dryer, but I can live with that. Don't hesitate to buy either if you are in the market for a portable washer and dryer.

Bitter sweet dryer. It works but the low power mode is pretty much useless, drying takes a while and I have to split 1 wash load into 2 dry loads because of how small the drum is and the sticker that says don’t fill past here. On the bright side it is quiet and it does dry and in a pinch I can take the dryer with me and use air fluff mode and power it directly from my car or bring my battery bank with me and dry a load or 2 of clothes on my way to work while I drive and take a break. It’s low power consumption is the main reason I picked it and being able to use it in my car was a huge plus.

I'm giving it five stars because it's a very high-quality, quiet, space-saving dryer with a sleek design (and a nice little lint trap!), but it just didn't work for my family of four. This is great for dorms, single people, or maybe two people, but for the four of us, no. I would be constantly running that little dryer with two adults, two teens, one German shepherd, and two chinchillas in our home - one of whom is a large, smelly 17 yo boy who is in a rigorous ROTC program and is sweaty all the time. Again, I really loved this little dryer but it just wasn't a good match for my situation, so I had to return it.

Its pretty quiet , can fit a descent amount of clothes . The only thing i own that doesnt fit in there is my king size Bed comforter. My daughter s twin size comforter fits no problem. Been using this dryer and a portable fully automated 13ltr capacity washer from costway for months now and really , just by the money saved from using the laundromat in my building for few months, they ve already payed themselves off. Would recommand
