These look quite tasty. What flavor are they?

They were quite dry. You may want to try antifreeze instead. It has a sweeter flavor and better mouth feel. /s I assume this was a sarcastic question. Do not eat silica beads or drink antifreeze.

Is the moisture indicating agent in this product Methyl Violet?

Yes, methyl violet is added to serve as indicating agent.

How much do i need to buy for a 64 cubic foot closet? can i fill women's hosiery with the beads and hang them? the closet is ~90% air tight

Information below lets you estimate how many gram of silica gel is needed at a given volume of your container. This is general estimate when used in an air-tight sealed container. The amount of silica gel needed will depend on several factors: 1. Chemical properties of the product that will be used: 2. Volume of the container 3. Conditions and physical properties of the container Container volume – silica gel beads in gram 4 cubic feet - 60 gm 8 cubic feet - 120 gram 64 cubic feet - 960 gram 960 gram equals 2.12 lb. If your closet is ~90% air tight, you can use the whole bottle of 2lb 1 quart orange indicating beads. Thank you.

What kind of container do you put the beads into so they can do their job

As Scott has answered, T-Sac tea filters will work. Also, you can use organza bag, Muslin bag, or women's hosiery. Many customers have used any of these bags and found them working well. Thank you.
