Took this to potluck and got a lot of compliments. It is rather pricey, so I won't be buying it often, but I probably WILL buy it now and then. It splits into two layers, a top and a bottom. The bottom layer is pretty firm and some people just held it in their hand to eat. The top part is creamier and you can really taste the egg custard. The page on the website says to just add water and pour into an 8x8 pan to bake. This incorrect, and I did report that - you do not add ANY water. You add 2 cups milk, 1/2 stick melted butter and 4 beaten eggs. I do hope they correct that part so folks will know they need this on hand to actually make it.

great chewy mochi mouthfeel without the clumpy boba-like blobs in others. vanilla egg custard was tasty, not expected from a packaged good.

An incredible dessert!!!
This is so delicious that I ate the whole pan myself and couldn’t stop until it was gone! If you have a better metabolism than I do go for it, it’s incredibly yummy! It’s exactly as described— as it bakes it separates into sweet butter mochi on the bottom and sweet custard on the top. Absolute heaven!
