First published in 1964, the Feynman Lectures on Physics have been complied into a series of textbooks from the lectures that the well known physics professor gave at the California Institute of Technology. This particular book, ‘The Feynman Lectures On Physics: Mainly Mechanics, Radiation And Heat (Volume - 1)’ is the first volume of the three-part series of lectures. During the 1960s, Feynman conducted a thorough research on many difficult topics troubling physicists around the world and his findings had perplexed the theoretical scientists community. His growing popularity and intellect had the California Institute of Technology authorities request him to deliver a series of lectures. Feynman obliged the institute but with the condition that he would deliver the lectures only once. Needless to say, the lectures were recorded and it is that first-hand path-breaking lectures that Pearson Education has brought out for the benefits of students and researchers globally on the subject. The first few sections of the book deal with the behaviour of the atoms and about atoms in general; how all matter are atoms and how atoms are the crux of any chemical reaction. The book, then, establishes the fundamentals of nuclei and atoms and further elaborates on the relationship of physics with psychology, geology, biology and astronomy. The next section deals with how energy can be converted from one form to another and about the conservation of energy. There is also considerable discussion about the two-dimensional rotation of matter and that of space. Brownian theories and Statistical Mechanics along with harmonic oscillators are also explained in detail in this book. About the author: Richard P. Feynman: A famous American theoretical physicist, Richard P. Feynman became known for his work in path integral formulation in quantum physics, the physics of superfluidity of supercooled liquid helium, the theory of quantum electrodynamics along with particle physics. Robert B. Leighton: An experimental physicist, Leighton was the professor of physics at the California Institute of Technology and is known for his work in the field of solid state physics, particle physics and cosmic ray physics. Mathew Sands: Born in 1920, in Massachusetts, Sands studied Physics and Mathematics at Clark University and then went on to become a physicist. He worked at MIT, before moving to California Institute of Technology. Review: Best Book in Mechanical Physics - This is perhaps the best book ever written on core concepts of Mechanical Physics. Being a biology major , I was little hesitant to read the this. But I had to read it to understand the mechanics of the water molecule. But to my surprise, it was so beautifully written that I had crossed around 2000 words without even realizing it. Would recommend it for anyone who wish to understand physics in a easy way. Review: Quality and worth buying - Bestest quality.

A book for anyone
This is a book which suits for anyone. I have heard that this is quite complex. But if you have the determination of reading this and using the Feynman technique in this, this book should straight away be a treasure for anyone. Instead of reading this like a book , read it like a holy scripture. I am sure you will have a great time learning physics from the best : Richard Feynman. Also the book's print quality is good. Just take care of it as it is a big book and may tear off if dropped.

Génial et passionnant !
A great book of a great man !
