I have a lot of books by this author. He is easy to follow and his illustrations are amazing. He has a beautiful style, very graceful and natural. There is variation in his poses he draws which I like. If you are concentrating on the female figure, this is an excellent book for all levels. It offers instruction as well as reference.

Sheppard’s classic book on female anatomy is a must-have for any artist bookshelf. He is the only artist that truly understands both skeletal/muscular and surface anatomy with his innate ability to convey body language and personality in his drawings. Huge influence on my development as an artist.
