'Thanks to Brenรฉ Brown I learned how to be vulnerableโฆ a life changer' Miranda Hart The physics of vulnerability is simple: If we are brave enough often enough, we will fall. This is a book about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of disappointment, failure, and heartbreak gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and Rising Strong , our clearest path to deeper meaning, wisdom and hope. Review: A whole-hearted read for the broken-hearted and the brave. - You know how we are always similar to the people we surround ourselves with? We always look at ourselves through other people's eyes. This book changes all that. This book is all about being compassionate to yourself while you fall, and finding the grit to be honest about our failures and dealing with the big bossy emotion called "shame". This book offers you strategies on how to be brave with your emotions, and how to sort through them. There are three specific truths that really shook things upside down for me: 1. That we are always doing our best, no matter what. If we knew better, we would do better. And other people are also doing their best, no matter what. If they knew better, they would be doing better. Once we recognise this truth, it is easier to let go of blaming yourself and others and it gets easier to forgive and move on. 2. People who judge themselves for receiving help, are indirectly judging those who ask for help. That is how humanity works - we all need help sometime and we all need to help others sometime. There's no being weak or strong or superior or inferior in this whole exchange of help. 3. The value of having authentic regrets in life- โNo regrets" doesn't mean living with courage, it means living without reflection. To live without regret is to believe you have nothing to learn, no amends to make, and no opportunity to be braver with your life. There are many such nuggets of wisdom. The gist of the book is - You cannot really be brave with your emotions if you are busy denying them or rejecting them or shaming yourself for having them. This book is about being brave inside-out. [I bought a paperback version of this book. The fonts are okay, the paper quality could have been better, but the content of the book negates all complaints on the quality of the paper. It is worth reading in any form whatever.] Review: Must read book. - This book is a masterpiece for self motivation and realisation..!! A must read book to reinstate faith in self.

Rising Strong- Practice to rise strong.
It is a kind of book that one must keep by his side throughout the day. I feel priviledged that I came across this book and picked it up. Dr. Brown has written this book so beautifully; citing examples from her daily life has made it more relatable. Many lines and some chapters have added a new angle to my thinking. I am in love with the motive of this book. Rising strong -practice will make a difference.

Some nice insights surely and quality of writing is good but ...
Found it kind of OK. Some nice insights surely and quality of writing is good but I am not really convinced that the stories and examples cited happened as described. At times they don't seem real to me and kind of forced to tune it to the point that needs to be made. I also was left a little incomplete... I am unable to put words to that feeling. Rising strong is a catchy title too that publishers know how to pick. May be that is what is part of the incomplete feeling. I was expecting something more especially in terms of cases and examples.

YOU MUST READ THIS!
It doesnโt matter if you work with a, b, c or d, if you are a human being, you must read this book. Brenรฉ is fantastic to put words to our feelings and thoughts, and gives us a step by step set of questions to understand where we are and where we should be.

Showing up is the key
Most recommended. I feel grounded and encouraged after reading. I have tge guts to be in the arena, not afraid of having my face down, rise and fall and rise etc. SHOWING UP. SHOWING UP. SHOWING UP. NO MATTER WHAT.

This is not a book, itโs a hug!
This book really changed my life! I was depressed for over ten months, and it showed me the way to self-forgiveness, liberating me from my shame/fear of disappointing others. I am definitely rising strong now, and I recommend it to anyone who needs help getting up when youโre down.

Worthy of my time
This book by @brenebrown frequently provoked me to stop, think and rewire my consideration of how I have responded to some seminal events in my past. Not for me to rewrite history but to rise stronger from the lessons that I now see in new terms. Thus changing the way I conceive of complexity, how I act in the moment, and who I take notice of in driving progress. A book replete with personal stories that bed down Professor Brown's thesis in concrete and touching moments to which we can all relate. With much competition for reading time, this book was well worth the investment. Thank you @brenebrown.
