Very simple language and easy to understand

A must read. Lucid and clear understanding of intuition of statistics. One this is clear, the formulae will start making more sense. The flow in which the book goes is amazing, I felt like I am sitting in a class attending a lecture , ofcourse not a monologue, answering all the interesting questions posed one by one in a very scientifically planned sequence. Loved it. Will definitely recommend to others. I was also looking for Probability without tears (since I felt this book's title to be truely apt) but couldnt find one. The title is something that served my requirement 😅. A great idea to teach stats in such a beautiful fashion. Totally loved it. Thankyou for the book sir.

I've read this book twice till date so its really good for beginners who have just their journey as Data Analyst. They've covered pretty much every main topic and explain it details with good examples.

As someone who used ChatGPT to understand the concepts and problems during a stats course, this book is a boon. Everything i struggled with when i was starting out with stats was easily clarified in this book. A relatively easy read and a great help.

Must read book for anyone looking for conceptual understanding of statistics. Having read many standard books on statistics, I have never been so confident about the overall understanding of the basic concepts of statistics. It certainly builds the foundation needed to dive deep into the more complex topics in statistics.

Wonderful narration to make many of the concepts and jargons related to statistics, crystal clear. I have been from Medical background finding it very much difficult around statistics. Thanks to the author Dr. Derek Rowntree and also Thanks to Dr. Sreejith, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, NIT, Calicut, Kerala for suggesting such an excellent book. I recommend all the readers to make a 2 time read of the whole book, followed by critical reading of scientific papers. Thank you.

The language is used nicely and fluently, following a narrative form. you surely learn something out of it.

The book was received in excellent condition so props to seller on that but beyond that it is a fantastic book for someone who wants to understand theoretical concepts of statistical analysis. You won't find many questions in book for practice but there are enough snippets from writer to keep things interesting. The book is written in easy flowing language with minimal technical jargon. A must read for any age group but specifically for students.

Very small book but explains the actual concepts behind the various statistical measures and how they are really used. For someone like me who is currently more interested in the concepts rather than the actual calculations involved (the computer calculates better anyway). I am starting to work with big data sets and the computer will calculate for me, I really wanted to understand in great depth the what and why rather than the internals of how (i.e. long formulas) and this books is fantastic for that. Its a small book but packs a big punch.

I was always good in maths but hated statistics because there were lots of formulas and complicated language , I couldn't remember or grasp.Trust me! when I say that I have tried many books even "The art of statistics" by david spiegelhalter-I couldnt finish any of the books because all of them were like course books. I even tried many online courses (cxl and youtube videos) but left in the middle or finished but never understood a concept fully! I swear,this book is gem! I dont usually write reviews and I am a avid reader. This book deserves more stars and reviews than it already has! This is my one of the most favorite book of all time.
