Replaced both valves within 15 minutes. Kohler is my go to for the product quality and reliability.

Removing the old fitting was quite a job. Once out putting new fitting in was easy. Snug fit, water tight. No more leak.

Great replacement cartridge for a leaking Kohler faucet. They don't last as long as I think they should and start dripping after a few years but that is probably more a function of my water quality. Takes less than 5 minutes to replace using a 5/8 deep well socket.

This part did the job and after months of use it still performs well with no leaks.

The valve works great and it's a perfect fit. However, removing the old ones can be difficult, if not close to impossible, with normal hand tools. The problem is that the entire valve body rotates and you run the risk of breaking the feed lines etc... I have seen several folks recommending removal of the entire valve from the cabinet to get this out. Didn't want to do that so I broke out my DeWalt 20V impact gun with a 13MM deep socket. Grabbed the threaded portion of the valve under the cabinet to hold it steady and with a few short bursts these came out with no drama. This saved me a ton of time and effort. Putting the new ones in just use your normal wrench and don't over tighten them. I put a bit of plumbers grease on the threads in the hopes this will make it easier for the next person doing this job, should that be needed.

I ordered both the hot and cold cartridges to fix a Kohler Alterna faucet. The cold side of the faucet was frozen completely. I was concerned about getting the old cartridges out since they had been in place for 37 years. No worries. A little extra force on the ratchet with a 5/8" deep socket and they came out smoothly. I noticed one review that complained that the new cartridges did not come with the spline adapters required for certain handles (such as mine). The packages I received contained the black plastic splines, but I chose to use the brass ones from the old cartridges. Easy fix to get a like-new faucet.

This was to replace the cold water valve for Kohler faucet K454-4S-CP. It was a perfect match AND included the black spline to be used at the top for attaching the stem extender (87466). My faucet was crusted over badly, and it took some PB B'laster penetrant and time to loosen the gunk. I was too feeble to remove it with a ratchet wrench and needed a stronger person. Thankfully, the old valve was removed. If you're not able to remove the valve cartridge, you'll have to buy a different model's valve and casing assembly (Ultraglide). Hopefully, you'll be as lucky as me and can preserve the old parts. I could not remove the old stem extender for two handles, and another handle had an ill-fitting stem extender. So, i bought new stem extenders to go with the new valves. If you mistakenly bought the wrong side's valve, you can modify it by removing the clip and changing the orientation. Remplacé les deux cartouches existantes du robinet de lavabo. Les cartouches sont vraiment de qualité. Notez que nonobstant le fait qu'ils vendent des gauches et des droits, le sens horaire est modifiable en sens anti horaire.
