Decent Exhaust with low noise at 1200 rpm
Installed it in kitchen replacing a noisy 2400 rpm exhaust fan. This is only 1200 rpm and makes less noise while running. It does have a decent suction power however not so efficient like the old one which had more RPM. the main reason to replace the old one is due to enormous noise it generates while running. So I am totally happy wuth this purchase and it does a decent job and it comes with 2 yrs warranty. It's a Value purchase.

Good ๐
Good and compact and noise loww is very low but feel speed is slow of exhausting air but maybe I am wrong but it so good and it's okay for small kitchen and normal home This exhaust fan is commendable for its compact design and exceptionally low noise levels, making it ideal for small kitchens and standard homes. While the air extraction speed may seem slow, this perception could be mistaken.

Powerful Airflow and Excellent Performance After Use
I have been using the Havells Ventil Air DB 300 mm Exhaust Fan, and I am very satisfied with its actual performance. The airflow is strong and effective, and it quickly removes heat, moisture, odour and stale air from the room. The 300 mm size and powerful motor make a noticeable difference, particularly when used in the kitchen or other areas requiring good ventilation. The fan runs smoothly and provides excellent air delivery, while the overall build quality feels sturdy and durable. The Pista Green finish looks attractive, and the fan was well packed and arrived safely without any damage. Installation was also straightforward. After actual use, I find this fan to be powerful, reliable and effective for ventilation. The 2-year manufacturer warranty is an added advantage. Overall, a very good exhaust fan for kitchens, bathrooms and offices, especially if strong airflow is a priority. Satisfied with the purchase.

Efficient exhaust with great suction power and close to noiseless operation
I had been looking for exhaust for washrooms and these designs with collapsible flaps looked great considering that it prevents insects and mosquitoes entering via washroom. Having good history with this brands product, I went ahead with the exhaust and with a few minor things it turned out a good decision. One year plus and its still running fine. โขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโข ๐ INSIDE BOX โขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโขโข 1x exhaust unit 1x operating manual 4x screws 4x nylon sleeve 2x rachet screws with square nuts (can be used as an alternative fixing arrangement, either on frame (details below) or to hang it from the top side) Cable length: 55 cm โ PROS 1. Its made of plastic, but have a solid built and motor also looks sturdy. 2. Capacitor arrangement is hidden inside a pocket on one of the corners 3. Length of attached cable is more than sufficient to reach power point even if above the false ceiling 4. Suction is good and 200mm model air flow is sufficient for washroom use case (I have installed these in 8'x5', 9'x6' washrooms) 5. Flaps are quite useful, as they prevent insects and mosquitoes when exhaust is not in use 6. Noise during operation is on the acceptable side and you wont notice it from other rooms if left on. Its kind of noiseless, if if has unobstructed incoming air flow from some areas in the house. 7. Two way fixing arrangement - One may fix it via 4 screws by drilling 4 holes on wall/aluminium frame, or use rachet type screws to avoid drilling holes if the existing arrangement supports the way (possible with modern aluminium window frames with square portion with removable glass reserved for exhaust). I fixed it via rachet screws. โ CONS 1. Flap arrangement is a hit miss kind of, and may be your unit is not that smooth. In one of my exhaust, it is like stuck and opens half way only, unless forced. I tried a replacement but it had the same issue. I had to remove the flap assembly and clear the plastic component (small plastic shaft kind of) which attaches to main body to make flap swivels around. 2. Oil collector tray is kind of useless, since there is no ditch around circumferential edge which can collect all of the oil and drip in the tray. Its a design flaw, which may render tray useless. โ๏ธ ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION- DIY 1. It comes in assembled state but in order to fix it you may need to partially disassemble it 2. Design is modular, to most of the pieces are press fit 3. Rotate spinner to remove it and subsequently remove the blade 4. Remove front panel to reveal holes for screws 5. Clear the area of glass and frame, if its there in the exhaust's place 6. As your case is, either drill holes on wall/frame marking positions (hole dia will vary accordingly- sleeve thickness for wall and screw thickness for frame) and fix via 4 screws with or w/o nylon sleeves (if fixing to wall nylon sleeve required, and if directly to aluminium frame, screw can be directly used) 6. Or use rachet screw on two holes at the center of two sides while attach square nut and if required a bigger washer. Tuck nut and washer to the back side of aluminium frame. Holding it via something, tighten the screw via racket head until it fixes. P.S. Don't tighten any of the plastic nut, spinner, or ring screw beyond a point; otherwise, it may slip. You need to find the threshold intuitively. Also, follow dimension guide in the product images carefully to select the model- 150mm version if your space is > 170x170mm and < than 240x240mm 200mm version if your space is > 170x170mm and < 290x290mm 250mm version if your space is > 290x290mm ๐ VERDICT This exhaust works great if it has unobstructed incoming air. Remember what goes in comes out, so in order to exhaust volume of air, it will need that volume of incoming air, so somewhere across the home some window or duct must be open to provide that volume. Else it will make noise, since it has to work hard to pull in air from edges of doors and windows.

Box of horrors, buy only if you like fixing things
The product was unused (2 months old mfg date) though box wasn't properly sealed. From second day itself gave noise issue which wasn't due to lack of oiling in bushes (no bearings here, only copper bushes which has 2 oil ports given). I have some experience & tools repairing my 30 year old water pump so decided to open this and fix instead of sending back. Found following assembly and quality check serious issues inside: 1. The back oil hole is only visible after back cover is removed. People are generally reluctant to do this to not void 2 year warranty (anyway warranty card wasn't filled or stamped). There was no instructions or manual for doing this. Oiling needs to be done every 2 months. This oil hole had broken plastic cap stuck inside the tube of hole. Only way to remove was disassembly of motor body and push out broken part from inside. Ordinary users will surely not know and so bushes & shaft will wear away. 2. Front oil hole cap was also broken partially but could pull cap out. The tube of hole goes inside a bracket, containing soaking sponge, through a hole in bracket. This round bracket was incorrectly installed with hole pointing in opposite direction. So they stupidly left the oiling tube hanging near shaft. I suspect this was why strange noise was coming when this plastic oil tube rubbed against the rotating shaft. Had to remove bracket rivets, rotate it to correct the position and insert tube properly through the bracket hole. Replaced rivets with 3mm nuts&bolts needed for future bush changes. Painted and corrected dents in body. 3. One of the three blades had missing nut. Was only held by rivets. Check photos. 4. The body bolts of motor didn't have washers in back. Tightening it would dent the back motor body. Had to correct the dents, paint it using nail polish, and put washers. Else motor body won't be securely held and vibrate. Putting washer prevented back cover to be installed. 5. The protrusion of rivets used for installing the motor specification label had slightly damaged the laminated core of the motor. Removed the rivets and stuck it using double sided tape. Damage couldn't be corrected , however no issue found due to it (slight separation of the lamination). 6. Each screw and nut needs to be checked for proper tightening. Many of them came loose. This has to be done by technician else motor body, windings may get damaged. Need to apply thread locker or nail polish as needed. Be prepared for it. 7. The 4 body bolts provided are not strong and its thread slipped when extra nut was put as checknut. Had to replace with stronger SS bolt. Similar partially-threaded bolt was not available in market so used fully-threaded one. The parts used looks good and new, however the assembly was bad. If proper quality check was done, 70 percent of returns will stop. Return item on slightest unsual noise, heating or lack of power issues. Good learning experience. Fan now working good after corrections. Forget warranty claims. I would strongly suggest people to go for bearings based exhaust fans. Otherwise oiling and fan jamming issues will be there.
