Diamond of California Pine Nuts, 2.25 Oz

These are really good quality pine nuts and worked perfectly for cooking and making pesto. They have a nice flavor and are a great ingredient to keep on hand for recipes or snacking. What I like: Good, fresh flavor Great for pesto and cooking Versatile to use Fair price and value for the money actually ($5.99 at time of purchase) I’ve been very happy with these and would buy again.

These are my go-to pine nuts! They have a better taste and texture than others I've tried. I pour them into a shaker herb bottle for ease of sprinkling onto food.

Good deal! Can't wait to make pesto with things from my Garden! I think the quality of these is good and the size is good because it's less expensive than a big bag. Pine nuts can be really expensive.! They also freeze well.

So I had never tried pine nuts ever in my life prior to this purchase. But a particular recipe for a parsley salad called for them. If you have never tried them raw, they are not bad. But it is like you chewed on some pine needles and sucked out the sap as far as the aftertaste goes. A Christmas party for your tastebuds I suppose. As you can see in an included picture. I toasted them and by doing so, improved the taste and got rid of most of the tree taste. It is almost popcorn like in taste. In another included pic, you can see how they blend in the salad and thus adds a decent crunch to the veggies. My problem with this is the price mostly. I am not sure how much work it takes to harvest these seeds, but it seems quite pricy for the amount of product that you get. I would have liked to have had twice as much for the price.

No complaints here! I used these pine nuts to make some of the best pesto ever! Fresh and tasty and not a bit stale, I would buy these again in a heartbeat! The portion size is perfect for recipes.
