Bosch Universal Plus Mixer with MUZ6ER1 Stainless Steel Bowl

Bought this for my step daughter who is starting up a Sourdough company here in TX. (Maggie's Sourdough). She absolutely loves it. She says it's super easy to use, takes up little space compared to a big-azz kitchaide, and works great. SHe says it's quiet enough that it doesn't wake her newborn and can handle several more loaves- giving her hands and arms a break. EXPENSIVE- but mission accomplished.

Awesome mixer. Nice and sturdy, not that big and fits well on my counter, and it isn't that loud as kitchen aid mixers.

The stainless steel bowl delivered to me was used. Smelled like garlic- had to soak it in vinegar and baking soda

I’m on the fence. 1) super bummed that the stainless bowl is for the gen 1 mixer…as it doesn’t have the center post, so you can’t use the balloon whisks or anything else that you use with your universal plus mixer. Also, the way the dough hook connects to the bowl, seems like ingredients will easily get in there and be hard to clean. Didn’t even seem to be an actual Bosch product, just said that it would fit. All the hype with a very expensive price tag…and you can’t even use the tools in the stainless bowl. My husband feels like he got scammed with my Christmas gift :( 2) I made a cake with the plastic bowl and whisks today…the batter was great, but I had to do quite a bit more scraping, as the ingredients collect around the center post (the whisks don’t scrape that). The center post also makes it a bit difficult to get all of your batter out, especially if you’re used to an “open bowl” like a kitchen aid. 3) I will say, using the dough attachment in the plastic bowl…my bread dough was amazing.
