Litter Care is an innovative, easy to apply, quick drying, non-stick litter box treatment that makes cat litter box cleaning easier. It's not litter. The super non-stick properties of Litter Care keep waste from drying and sticking to the bottom of the litter box or pet enclosure. This ensures that all of the waste is absorbed by the litter/absorbent material. The soiled litter/absorbent can be easily scooped or removed without residual mess that would require scrubbing and scraping! Simply re-apply Litter Care after each cleaning for continued performance. Drying occurs within five (5) minutes and the animal safe coating is not noticeable to your pets. Review: Great product. Would recommend to a friend. - It has been 2 months. This spray is great. Does it work? Yes! We use it for our cat's self-cleaning litter box to make sure the clumps do not stick to unintended places, and it makes a big difference. It is washable, so it rubs off over time and we have to reapply it. Would I prefer it to be non-washable? Absolutely, but so far it is okay that we have to reapply it every 2-3 weeks. Is the bottle small? No! If used as directed, it would last for years. It would dry out inside faster than you can use it, so the size is perfectly reasonable. Does it smell like acetone (common nail polish)? Yes. Does it smell like you need a mask to spray? (One of the complaints I have seen in the reviews.) No! It smells considerably less than nail polish. The product contains acetone, but it's not 100% acetone like nail polish. Does it dry fast? Yes. Very fast. You can see it drying. Just remember that you don't need to soak your surface in it, just spray lightly. It takes about 1 minute to dry when sprayed with one coat. Does it smell after it is fully dried? No. I can't smell it after about 20 minutes, and my cat has no issue with the litter box either. He is just happier that his litter box is cleaner than it used to be. Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes. Would I buy it again? It depends on the intended use. For spraying the litter box, I'd look for a less washable solution, like covering the box with Teflon. The product works fine on the walls of the litter box (2 weeks) and on the door to the waste compartment (4 weeks), but rubs off within 3 days from the floor of the litter box. Summary: The difference between having this product and not is the difference between cleaning the door of the waste containers for 10 minutes every day and not having to clean them at all for weeks. Just reapply when the product wears off. Review: Effective non-stick quality - This spray works to keep clumps of litter from sticking to the litter box! I am using it in a standard litter box and in my Litter Robot. It has made clean up much easier! It does have a very strong odor (like paint solvent) when wet -once it dries the odor disappears. It leaves a white film which is the nonstick barrier. Expensive at $2.86 per ounce ($20 for a 7 oz bottle), but it does work as described.

Waste of Money
Total waste of money. The instructions direct you to spray it anew every time you change the litter pan, and you must wash and dry the litter pan before spraying. If you have an automatic litter pan, the whole idea is that you DON'T HAVE TO wash and dry your litter pan every time you change the litter -- !!! I should have just sent it back, but I did try it on my Popur, which has a woven liner. It stained the liner and I have noticed absolutely no improvement in the clumps of litter that stick around the edges. Do not recommend.

Fantastic but strong odor, leaves a whitish film, better on hard plastic than silicone.
In a nutshell, this thing is fantastic. My girl has a habit of using the sides of the box as a "backboard" when she pees. Scraping the pee balls off the sides was always messy and never completely successful...until now. All I have to do is tilt the box and the pee ball just rolls away from the side. That's all it takes to just release the ball and makes scooping it out clean and easy. Pros: - it works! Keeps litter clumps in a nice, solid ball. Keeps sides and bottom of box perfectly clean. Cons (just a couple of things to be aware of that don't, in the least, affect how happy I am with this product): - extremely strong odor during application and while it dries. Definitely spray outside in well ventilated area. Strong smell similar to spray paint. I was a bit concerned the smell would repel our cat from using the box, but once it dries, the odor completely disappears. The entire process start to finish, (emptying the box of current litter, washing it out, drying the box, then spraying this product & letting it dry, refilling with litter) took me a quick 45 minutes. - our litter box is black and the spray leaves a whitish film coating. This is obviously not a problem since you will only be spraying the inside of the box. I also assume most people don't have the box out in the open, front and center for all to see anyway. For me, who is a bit ocd though, I just took a rag and wiped off overspray areas so at least the white film ends in a straight line. Understand that these two "cons" are just heads-up notices to be aware of. Neither of these take away in the slightest, from the complete satisfaction with how this product works. Very happy to have found this. * * update July 2026* * A couple of updates that still don't affect my rating, but just to keep in mind: - the spray bottle is of very poor quality. When I depressed the trigger, it came right off in my hand and a few tsps worth of liquid came spilling out. I went to Target and just bought an empty spray bottle, so issue was resolved easily, but it created a stinky mess. - realize you will have to reapply this every couple of months. If your cat uses different parts of their box, you may not have to reapply as often, but my kit uses the same spot twice a day. So far, it seems I need to re-spray every other month. - when fostering kittens I use a smaller silicone litter box. This product works great on hard plastic, but not as well on silicone. It still helps, but it doesn't create quite the "slide right off" effect on silicone as it does on rigid plastic surfaces.

Crappy sprayer, great product
It works great for the non-stick part but the sprayer quit working with the bottle half-full. Would give it a higher rating if I didn't have to buy a new bottle for the sprayer. 3.5 stars is about right. Now, if they offer to send me a sprayer, I would rate it higher! The smell is intense but fades to nothing very quickly.

This is great stuff!!!!! Makes life easier!
Ok, let's be clear: this has a strong odor out of the bottle, like isopropyl alcohol. The odor is the fumes rising from the liquid. That's the reason the label clearly states to use this product in a well ventilated area, to avoid directly inhaling the fumes. It's no different than using isopropyl alcohol. And once it dries, there is NO odor. If you use it outside (out of the wind!) it really isn't that big of an issue. The main ingredient - TergoSol- is rated low-VOC. (Look it up) I have used a few different brands of nonstick litter box sprays over the years, and this one I like the best. Tergosol is just another type of alcohol (ends in -ol) so it dries really fast. The other brands leave a tacky residue and take much longer to dry. This product is thin and sprays easily. When I use it, I like to do a couple of coats just to make sure I get good coverage. When the surface has dried, it has a "frosted" appearance. Even tho this dries fast, I still like to leave the sprayed items outside for a while longer just to make sure any lingering odor has more time to dissipate. I spray the entire inside, top edges, and sides - but that's just me. (Because squirty poos happen sometimes😿). And don't forget to spray the scooper! Sounds like a lot, but a bottle lasts me a while. And I don't need to reapply that often - only when stuff starts sticking again. I have used only plant based litters for years, taking issue with the dust that would inevitably settle on everything after using "99.9% dust free" clay litters of all sorts. It works well with all. My current preferred litter type is grass litter. I have also been trying out Tidy Cats Naturals with activated charcoal (awesome!). It also works well with this product. With this spray, I have the option of using any litter I like. I take care of a number of cats so there's always more than one kitty using a box. Using this nonstick spray significantly reduces the time (and effort!) it takes to scoop every day. I recommend giving it a try. If you follow all recommendations, there should be no problems. It seems pricey at first, but with extended periods between uses, and the reduction in time and effort it takes to scoop a box, it really is a great value! Also, the sellers are very responsive! If you have any issues, just message them thru the link on the product page, or email them directly (email address is listed in the answer to a question on the product page - recommended). Sellers want happy customers!

Being honest - be warned
You absolutely MUST spray this stuff outside or in a well-ventilated room with a fan or something. That is the first thing you must know. It smells just like strong fingernail polish remover (acetone). That is because that yes, acetone is in the list of ingredients - - which by the way, isn't on the bottle. (No ingredients listed on the bottle - - just highly flammable) I looked up the safety sheet on their website. It is highly flammable, so you must take precautions as you use it and store it. The sprayer on the bottle does not work well at all, so if you plan to buy this, plan to replace the sprayer or just deal with the "spritz". In my photos, look at the size bottle you are getting. 7 oz. The bottle beside it for comparison size is 32 oz. The price I paid is over $18, not including sales tax. I have sprayed 2 litter boxes and there is only about 1/3 of the product left, so it is not a good value at all. Going back to the smell and what it is made of. The safety sheet says the main ingredient TergoSol Solvent says it is safe and I really hope it is. Be sure to wash your hands and children and animals should not be in the area. If you use a hooded litter box, I would not recommend using it due to the litter box being enclosed and there could be residue from the acetone. My 2 litterboxes are in well ventilated areas. In the photo, you can see that it leaves a chalky film. Does this product work? I have had it in one of the litterboxes for about 3 weeks and I think it does help keep the litter from sticking to the bottom. (that is why I gave it 2 stars) Will I buy it again? Absolutely not. I will look for another product and check ingredients first before buying.

Works amazing!!
This stuff works great! I have a robot type litter box & I spray the filter screen & the inside litter mat. It dries very quickly, then you put the fresh litter in. I haven't had anymore issues with clumps sticking to the inside litter mat. Warning - this stuff has a VERY strong chemical/acetone smell when you spray it. BUT, the smell dissipates VERY quickly! I spray it on & then take the waste bag to the garbage & smell is gone by the time I get back. I looked up the ingredients & the smell is from Tergosol, which is eco-friendly.

Appalling
I cannot comment on the performance just yet, however, based on first impressions it is quite unlikely that I will ever repurchase this. I honestly think this is not fit for sale in its current state… upon the second pressing of the trigger it stopped working. Based on the rest of the reviews this seems to be a reoccurring issue, one that should be fixed. Really, really disappointing

Litter Care
Made my life easier. It has a strong odor when first applied but the smell goes away completely after a minute or so. Very little needs to be applied.
