Absolutely loved reading these. I couldn't put them down. Introduced by the Netflix series, and then discovering it was cancelled, I had to know what happens next. So ordered this set and read it, I was hooked. The books themselves are as you'd expect a standard paperback. The writing is fantastic. I'm a picky reader, and will give up if I get bored. But not here! I enjoyed it so much, I waited a week and started them again. If you enjoyed the show, and like reading, you'll love this!

I was gutted that Netflix cancelled the show after season 1 so I was happy to hear it was from a series of books. I got the whole set as I wanted to know the end and I enjoyed it so much! It's great for teens (11-16yo) but also for young adults or people like me who just wanted to know the end after the Netflix show. I binged the whole series in 3 weeks!

These books were riveting. I couldn't put them down stayed up late and even re-read them after I was done as I couldn't get enough of them. The adventures are enthralling and the world shroud created it's immense. The characters have arch's and personality and each one feels thought out enough to be able to identify with any of their traits. The entire series was brilliant beginning to end! However I feel like I still have some questions but the whole series ended in a good place.

Fabulous! I loved the tv series and can’t believe Netflix didn’t commission a second season but the books were even better! Rick Riordan called Jonathan Stroud a genius and the man was not wrong. Inventive, tense and funny, Lockwood’s London is a scary place.

My daughter has not put these books down since they have arrived.

My son is currently working through them. It's a good series, interesting plot that builds into the last book which is the big finale. The series opens straight into action, then pauses for a chapter of back story. There is a pattern to the books in which children take on the baddies without just calling the police, but then I'm reading as an adult. I know I loved this kind of adventure as a kid and my kids love it now. Who knows, if they'd just called the police maybe the big underlying plot would not have been possible to solve.
