Want to buy for my son - tall and very skinny - 6' 2" and about 148 lbs. What size is suggested? If a medium, will it be far too short in length?

Im 5 ft 11-1/2 in at 160 lbs. Medium fit me well, but you might want to size up -- they are a snug fit.

Would these be good for travel? Trying to find breathable travel pants for 10 hour flight.

Yes they would be great for a travel /comfortable event... they are kinda thick so if you running in them your legs will sweat quick , but they’ll at least keep you warm

Well they are slim fit so you should be fine if that's what you like, maybe medium for you? I'm 6' 190 and I like fit of the large.
