SmartGames Wall & Warriors – Medieval Logic Puzzle with 80 Challenges for Ages 8+

The object of this puzzle is to arrange four castle wall pieces to keep the blue warriors and towers safely within the castle, and the red warriors on the outside. With just four wall pieces, how hard can it be? The phrase “harder than it looks” definitely applies. First, this is a great looking puzzle. As with other Smart Games puzzles, the “Walls and Warriors” pieces are well designed and exquisitely executed. The game board is a rock—all good castles are built on rocks—that’s nicely rendered in 3-D. The turrets and walls have crenellated tops. And one wall section even shows the outline of a door. The silver armored warriors have flags and shields in their army’s color. But the proof of the pudding is in the game play. There are 80 challenges, in five levels from starter to wizard. All challenges show the positions of the blue towers and the warriors, both red and blue. The starter challenges give you a hint by showing the position of at least one of the four wall sections. After that, you’re on your own to figure out where to position all four wall pieces correctly. And it’s likely to take a while. These challenges will give your brain a real workout. If you make it through all 80, you’ll be ready for military strategy courses at West Point. If you’re a puzzle lover, you’ll want to add “Walls and Warriors” to your collection; it will give you hours of satisfying puzzle-solving. And the sturdy box will keep your castle walls and warriors safe until the next battle.

Bought as a gift for my 8 year old son. He loves it, almost as much as my husband does! There are plenty of levels challenging enough for adults. If you have a kid (big or small) into solving puzzles, this is an awesome game! I would think 8 yrs old to 80!

Took some time to figure out, but my 9 year old loved it!

This game is perfect for my 7 year old son. It is great for taking in the car for road trips or even to restaurants and doctors office (during the wait) as it keeps him entertained and he can play alone or we can do it together. Love that it has levels from easy to challenging so its fun for all ages and he will be entertained for a long time as he can keep playing even as he gets better. Very good quality of game and the cards and overall great toy - will be buying more in different themes.

My grandson loves this game. It was one of the most wanted things on his Christmas list. He is four and very bright. His parents helped him get started with the rules and strategy but he enjoys it a lot.

A game for all ages! Maybe not a game for drunk people though... it gets real... real tough. My son is 11 and loves this game. I do too. I’m 35.

The kids did not love this one. Played it once and it went on a shelf. Bummer.

Got it for my son, who enjoys playing with the castle and soldiers (he's a bit young for the puzzles). I'm enjoying playing with him, and doing the puzzles too :)
