Works great
This H!Fiber 10Gb SFP+ transceiver is a solid, budget-friendly choice for upgrading to 10G. It was a simple plug-and-play experience with my equipment, and Iโm consistently getting full speeds over Cat6a. It does run quite warm to the touch, which is typical for these copper modules, so just make sure your switch has decent airflow. For the price, the performance and multi-gig support (2.5G/5G) make it a great value.

Stop thinking about it and just buy it! Works good! Manufacturer backs their product!
I completely upgraded my network and needed several of these as I've installed a 10g backbone with managed switches. For me using Mokerlink and Netgear managed switches and routers I've got nothing but great things to say about these SFP+ 10g modules. They've been plug and play each time I've used them. I did replace all my older patch cables up to Cat6/Cat6a type so I've obtained max speed with no flapping between speeds. Cat5e is in the wall throughout my home and still got to 10g from core router out to each managed switch as I connected through these SFP+ modules. My warranty experience. One module did decide to stop working after 9+ months. I swapped in my spare and got things working again and then tested it in other open ports to see if I could revive it (silly I know, cause when they stop working that usually it). Didn't work but was worth a try. I reached out to Manufacturer with my Amazon order number, date ordered, and SPF+ model number and they swapped it out. After telling them what I had tried to see if it was my router port/switch port/yes I tested it in several places they just had me ship it back to them and upon arrival they shipped me a new one. Only a handful of days total for whole process tbh. So Great customer service and honoring their warranty!!

Great price for a quality module
Bought this for connecting my NAS to my UDM-SE and open something more than 1g or 2.5g speeds. Plugged in very easily (this should be expected with an SFP module; if not something is wrong) and has worked flawlessly for months. Some people mentioned it running hot, but that is to be expected with a copper 10g connection (one of the reasons I like fibre instead, but had no option here). I'm able to hold a finger on mine for a few seconds before it being fairly uncomfortable, so all is well. Cost was below what "big brand" modules would cost, but was perfectly compatible with my UDM-SE and the connection has been solid since day 1.

Works Well and Reliable, But Runs a Bit Hot
This does exactly what itโs supposed to do and overall Iโm happy with the performance. Setup was easy, itโs been reliable, and once installed it works consistently without any functional issues. Build quality feels solid and it performs as advertised. The only downside is that it does run a little hot during use. It hasnโt caused any failures for me, but itโs noticeable and something to be aware ofโespecially if youโre using it in a tight space or an enclosure with limited airflow. Because of that, Iโm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. If heat management could be improved, this would be an easy 5-star product. Still a good buy and Iโd recommend it, just know that it will make some heat.

Worked in my Dream Machine Pro for Plex server to Unifi NAS speed upgrade
my plex server motherboard had a 2.5GB integrated, so I was wanting it to be able to communicate faster with my Unifi NAS. I plugged this in my Dream Machine Pro SFP 2 (the Unifi NAS in the other SFP 1 at full 10G), and now it's transferring at ~270MB/s (was ~100MB/s Before) over a copper CAT cable. It's nice that this can adapt from 1/2.5/5/10 speeds, so it'll always be useful if I decide to throw in a 10G card in my Plex server, but this is plenty fast for my home use needs while trying to maintain power efficiency. So quick and easy upgrade for me.

Does not work with Ubiquiti - Silent Layer-2 Frame Loss due to Copper SFP+ Rate Adaptation Failure
This SFP+ RJ45 module does not work reliably with a Ubiquiti UDM Pro, despite claiming compatibility. Initially, the module appears to function correctly. The link comes up, the port shows connected, and traffic passes normally. However, after some time in production use (days to weeks), the connection becomes unstable in a very deceptive way. The device connected through this module will still respond to ICMP (ping), making it appear online, but all TCP-based services become unreachable. SSH, web interfaces, and application traffic fail, even though the link remains up and no errors are reported by the UDM Pro. Power-cycling or reseating the module temporarily restores connectivity, but the issue inevitably returns. This behavior makes troubleshooting extremely difficult and is not acceptable for any always-on or server use. While it may appear to work at first, it is not stable long-term with the UDM Pro SFP+ port. I would strongly recommend using an official UniFi RJ45-to-SFP+ module or a different connectivity method instead.

Twice the throughput as the MikroTik S+RJ10
I have a building-to-building link that is 250ft. of direct-buried shielded Cat5e cable, and I want to get as much throughput across this cable as possible. So I tested throughput using various combinations of hardware to compare the performance of the MikroTik S+RJ10 and this H!Fiber ASF-10G-T. I used a Ubiquiti USW as a fiber-to-copper bridge, then swapped in a 10GTek SFP+ bridge, and ran a half dozen default iperf3 sequences in each configuration: USW-USW + 2 MikroTik S+RJ10: 2.01-2.03 Gbps USW-USW + 1 MikroTik / 1 H!Fiber ASF-10G-T : 3.2-3.5 Gbps USW-USW + 2 H!Fiber: 3.43-3.68 Gbps 10GTek-USW + 2 H!Fiber: 3.75-3.95 Gbps Itโs interesting to me that the 10GTek bridge has higher throughput than the Ubiquiti USW, but even more interesting that the H!Fiber modules give almost double the throughput of the MikroTik modules. This doesnโt say anything about longevity, of course, because both copper modules run obscenely hot. Butโฆif you want maximum throughput over a questionable cable, the H!Fiber ASF-10G-T might be a better choice than the MikroTik S+RJ10--and it's less expensive!

Using this on Ubiquiti US-16-XG and Sabrent NT-SS5G
Using this with the Ubiquiti US-16-XG and it provide not only 10GbE but when connected to the Sabrent NT-SS5G it will downswitch to 5GbE as well.

Too Hot
Overheats, have to unplug, running temperature is too hot for equipment.

Wrong rate reporting on MikroTik devices
When the other end is 1Gbps, it still reports itself as a 10Gbps link. Also, the temperature reading is off.
