Works like a charm
Did lots of research but decided on this one. No fuss charging, no settings to mess with, it just works. Car takes care of what it needs. Bought the 40amp and had it professionally installed. Needed additional breakerbox work. Do realize they always require additional amps for safety. The 40amp version needs a 50Amp breaker. I had to supply 80 amps to my breaker due to there being an electric oven that uses a 30amp breaker as well. I also choose the nema outlet so in case I need to replace it I can just unplug it. I may decide to use the dual version one day in case I get an additional electric car. I am very happy with it, it charger my 75kw battery in less than 7 hours. For those who never had EV car, you generally are advised not to charge beyond 80%, and you probably donโt drive it till itโs empty, so maybe till 10%. So that gives you an effective range of about 70% of the total range. In my case thatโs only about 5 hours of charging. The EV car normally has settings where you can set it up on when to charge, for example past midnight, to save money by charging only during non peak hours. The cable gets warm during charg8ng but not hot. Mostly it lays on the cold garage floor. Iโm in California so weโll see how hot it gets after the winter is over. This is a good brand Iโve seen used at car dealers. Iโd stay away from chargers with all the fancy options, they tend to be flakey. Iโve always believed to get the one single tool for the job instead of getting something that promises to do all.

quality and peace of mind worth the littel extra cost
I installed this on the outside of my garage to charge my Tesla model Y. I purchased two wall mount travel brackets since I wanted to use my charge inside and outside of my garage. Super easy to install. The only warning I have is the plug cord is very short, about 12 inches. So you need to install it right next to the plug. I really appreciate the peace of mind knowing this is a quality piece of equipment. I have had it for a month now and so far seamless charging experience. Highly recommended.

Super Charger!
Fantastic charging station. Simple and powerful. Now I can go weeks between charges because of how quickly this thing tops off my vehicle (Chevy Bolt). Found an electrician who installed the 50-A circuit to the garage for $400 (another quote was over $900 so check around). I mounted it myself - with a simple measurement the 12" power cord was a non-issue (and the short length makes the installation look clean). I ordered a Travel Bracket directly from Clipper Creek and used that for the installation - actually made it easier than direct mount. The people at Clipper Creek were very helpful and communicative. I don't use the supplied holster (or lock). I just wrap the cord and let it hang (see photo).

Works well w/2020 Bolt, daily commute
Plugged into 50 amp Rv outlet (240 volt, 2- 120 volt lines) and it charges at 10% range per hour - adds about 23 miles per hour. With our terrain in a daily 80 mile round trip full charge is 230 miles. Bolt limits charge rate to 7.2 kwh, bought this higher capacity charger to future proof it, may have different EV in the future that can charge faster than the Bolt. Zero to full if that ever happened 230 miles at 23 miles per hour would take 10 hours. We charge every night to add 40% of capacity (80 miles) back -- start 8pm -- full before midnight. That's all we will need on this daily driver.

A good charging unit
We use this with a 2013 Chevrolet Volt, and it works very well. It appears that 240V charging is particularly good when the "float' portion (when the cells are very near maximum voltage) of the charge cycle occurs; the traction battery appears to be topped off really nicely when compared to the 120V charger that came with our car. The jack which plugs into the car is particularly robust. Just be aware that the 240V side with the NEMA 14-50 plug is only one foot long, and the cable is very hefty (as it should be, and short to minimize IR drops). With a bit of proper planning and placement of the outlet, however, mounting the unit shouldn't be too much of a problem.
