Lilly Miller Moss Out! Roofs and Walks Ready to Spray, 27 Oz

I was pleasantly surprised. Very effective. I had tried another product that didn't work at all. Moss Out killed the moss in a couple of days. Just make sure you follow the directions. Now that the moss is gone I'm going to install a zinc strip under the top row with an inch or so exposed. The zinc washing over the roof in the rain keeps moss from regrowing.

Has a weird smell that lingers in the air for quite some time, but it did kill all the moss on my roof without killing my plants below.

Worked perfectly for me. Killed very thick moss in 24 hours in hot June weather. Now, I’ve got to wait for rain to wash it away bc it’s on a steep roof I can’t easy access. Hose connectivity was fine with mine. I probably went overboard by using the whole bottle on 150sf, but it worked.

It works okay, but you have to move really fast because the little bottle gets used up quickly. Next time I will try a powder or a solution for my power washer. It’s not cost-effective if I need to buy three bottles of this for my roof.

The reviews for this were kind of mixed when I bought it, so my expectations were low. However, the reviews for ALL moss control sprays are pretty mixed, so I went with this one because a review mentioned good spray distance. My roof is steeply slanted and hard to get to, AND I have a fear of heights, so doing this from a distance was a big priority for me! So here's the breakdown: DID IT WORK? Yes! I had a thick carpet of moss on a sheltered area of my roof that was probably an inch thick at its thickest. Gave it a good spray down with this stuff via the hose attachment. Within about 73-96 hours, all the moss had turned brown and died. It's now several weeks later and it's still dead. (The downside, of course, is that I have to figure out how to scrape all the dead stuff off the roof!) HOW WAS THE SPRAYING? Pretty good! Fit easily on my standard garden hose. I had to spray about 1/3 up the height of a steep second story roof, on a house with a four-foot tall foundation. This was just on the very outer limit of the spray's reach with the hose on full blast, so I'd estimate I was getting 15 to 20 feet of spray distance, much of that vertical or at a 45-degree angle. Not bad! And the coverage was pretty good. HOW MUCH DID I USE? About 2/3 of the bottle, though in retrospect I could have used just half and gotten the job done. This covered a roughly 5' x 15' patch of roof. DID IT KILL ANYTHING ELSE? Nope. All the turf at the foundation of the house is still alive. Drippage did not kill anything. Only the miss died. Bottom line, I'd buy this again if my roof moss problems returned.

Too hard to use from the ground to a 1 story roof without catching spray back in your face, even on a calm day. The nozzle, while it connects to the hose fine, is not durable and leaks and then the stuff ends up everywhere. Not going to try this product again. I can't speak to the success of removing the existing moss after 1 quick application. Not a good value, don't recommend unless you are able to get up on your roof and apply it in closer proximity, in which case I recommend a low flow on the hose to minimize mist drift.

This stuff really does work just have to patient it takes a couple of weeks before you see results

Mixed results on different surfaces. It worked well on my roof, but when I sprayed some moss on the walk in front of my house, it didn’t work nearly as well. Also, it should be noted that killing the moss is only the first step. removing it much more difficult. I recommend attacking it early before it gets very established. This product definitely seem to get the job done on my roof though.
