I retired a few years ago but still spend several hours per day (~ 4-6) in front of a computer as I'm doing some programming and some other smallish science jobs. In addition I spent probably 3 hours a day in front of the TV. Because getting up of any sitting position and the sitting itself became kind of a problem (some days more some days less; muscle pain mainly thighs) I was looking for a solution. some weeks ago I bought a new office chair; although expensive it did not help. To be honest my couch seat also contributed to the problem because the foam rubber seems to be worn off a bit. Anyhow I found this cushion and thought I give it a try. I have spent now about 70 hours altogether on this cushion (5-8 hrs per days); used it on my computer chair and on the couch. The pain is gone and I have no problem to get up quickly. It's honestly more than I expected. "Orthopedic" might sound to younger people as they would not need such a thing, but I'm sure everybody (any age class) would benefit from using such cushion when the people spent several hours in sitting position a day. As I said the computer chair did not help but with the cushion on the chair it worked wonders. You pay for a simple straight seat cushion already ~10 pounds, why not going for something which is close to £20 mark but which is really comfi and corrects your position seemingly. I would suggest to produce this cushion also in two sizes (as it is 45cm wide) and one about 50cm wide for some overweight people. In addition why not produce one which can be used on a garden chair, like in green or dark wine red? I'm now a converted cushion user and I hope you will be too. Don't expect an effect after a few hours and the cushion will not replace the need for some movement/walking, but it is just great when you sit. Give your spine a chance.

Bought this in 2021, medium firm (although apparently I should opt for the firmer one). Very comfortable and has lasted extremely well, still usable but I'm picking up another one for the car and because I think this one has maybe lost just a smidge of it's bounce after daily use for several years. The only critiques I have are: I wish it was just a touch wider so it properly fits my chair and/or bottom. I think a version that was about 2" wider would do. The cutout, for me, is just a bit too far apart, so I have attached duct tape and pulled it inwards just a bit to make it fit perfectly (and it's much more comfy when it fits just right - supportive vs falling down the hole). I have seen others that use something like a backpack strap to pull that bit into shape, something like that would be useful as improvised solutions like tape do drift a little over time. Overall it is very comfy and the contour is well suited to sitting on for long periods. Zero coccyx pain too since buying it, although that wasn't the primary reason.

It’s dense and sturdy. A little hard but I think that’s what’s needed to be fair. It’s comfortable and aleviates my coccyx pain.

I had surgery near my tailbone, including stitches which I was given no uncertain instruction that I had to avoid placing my weight on. I was told (correctly) that sitting on a regular, hard, wooden chair would become fatiguing after only a couple of minutes. However, I was also told that cushions made for the coccyx or haemorrhoids might only allow me a quarter of an hour or so. I've managed to sit on this cushion for half an hour or more at a time (I'm trying not to overdo it, even though I'm not feeling any sign of discomfort) without any pain in my tailbone at all, even though I can't sit on the edge of my bed without leaping in pain immediately. While I might not need this cushion long term for medical reasons, this cushion is the only reason why my two weeks of recovery is not just going to involve me lying on my side or front 24 hours a day, or standing up. Thank you, so much, for letting me watch TV, use my laptop at a comfortable position, and sit in the kitchen while waiting for food to cook. Without this cushion, the quality of the next two weeks of my life would be drastically worse. Even when the stitches are out, I will probably keep using this cushion simply as a regular cushion, as the IKEA JUSTINA which I used to have on my dining table chair is incredibly thin and barely provides any support at all - this one really distributes the weight around the underside of my legs well. The only advice I would have for anyone planning to buy one of these is to consider the height of it, plus the fact it's quite a hard memory foam (so it's not going to sink massively where you're sat). If your chair is quite high, if you are quite short, and if you don't have any kind of foot rest, you may find that your legs dangle instead of being in good contact with the floor - which might actually make you slouch weirdly or otherwise sit in a less comfortable way.

I have been suffering from lower back & hip pain and this cushion has made a world of difference. I can sit for much longer periods without discomfort. It is brilliant for car drives & sitting at my desk. I truly am grateful for something that has made significant difference to my condition. I even bought a 2nd one. I also bought a different brand but it isn't quite as good as the iamcomfi coccyx seat cushion. Update: Now bought a couple for my Dad & he too is experiencing significant improvement when sitting. Highly recommend

I had lower back pain from my office chair for a very long time, until a friend recommended a pillow for my coccyx. I have bought this pillow and I was plesently surprised at how comfortable it is and how the pain for my lower back disappeared. Currently I am at my second pillow purchase, I have bought one for my home office too. I can not recommend this pillow enough. As a tip, after you unpack it, leave it for an hour to unfluff. I noticed that it gains some more volume after this operation. All in all, great purchase with a very good product, good value for money and 100% recommend.

Very good quality and has helped with sitting for so long. Less pressure on my butt and has helped a little with back pain but I've not been using it that long and it can take 3 weeks for the body to adjust. Its definitely better than me sitting directly on my hard chair. I think it was worth the money and is well made. I am only 63 kgs. Quick delivery also. UPDATE: Its helped a bit with back pain but my butt still gets really sore sitting on this so it hasn't made me more comfortable in that regard which is a bit disappointing.
