Bought to use with the PhotoSync app since I wanted a more reliable way to initiate backups of my pictures when I arrived at home this does the trick. As another reviewer said geofencing wasn’t the greatest either the app and I was in the same boat and pulled the trigger after reading the review. Plugged it into my NAS so whenever I walk into the house my iPhone backs up my pictures to the NAS within minutes.

Bought to use as beacon for PhotoSync app on iPhone because geofencing unreliable, specifically if phone is connected to CarPlay when you approach the target zone. Now photos sync perfectly when arriving at home. Also, moving around the home, if I take photos and I’m out of range, once I’m back in range it will sync. Have it hooked up to home server, which then backs up to Dropbox. No need to pay for iCloud as well.

Using this as a "at home" sensor for my vehicle within Home Assistant. This beacon broadcasts with MQTT and can be utilized to track and locate this item at my home. Previously, I utilized Tiles and there is no comparison! These feel more solid, have a replaceable battery, and are customizable in many different ways (UUID, RSSI @1m, etc). Also, Thomas (owner of Blue Charm) has been extremely helpful explaining the features and technologies within the devices so that I can make more educated decisions on my project. I've also utilized the BC011 and BC021 versions.

I bought this to maximize a fancy navigation app. It works very well.

I was able to quickly configure this iBeacon using iphone then created a BLE Advertisement listener to determine proximity using the Windows UWP Bluetooth example. Fun little toy.
