I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, but one of the two (blue and green paisley) came with a damaged snap so it is unable to fold and snap for hygiene purposes. The outside fabric is smooth, not quite silky. The side you use is a nice texture knit. I don’t see any evidence of silver or copper thread weaving like another brand which is intended to thwart bacteria. I got these for our ATV trips where we often have to make several pit stops for the ladies to squat. Hoping this makes the experience more comfortable.

I am a backpacker and I've heard of pee rags, but I had never used one. I love the idea of less trash in the woods and less stuff for me to carry when hiking or backpacking. So, I got this pee rag to try out. My first impressions are that it is absorbent on first use (pat dry, do not wipe) and it needs a bit of time to dry before a second use. If you drink a lot of water like me and need to pee frequently, you'll want to carry 2 of these so you always have a dry one to use. Fortunately, these came in a 2-pack! I would like them to be just an inch or so bigger. Also, we don't need the strap to put our hand through to hold it when using. I think the stitches going all the way through the material will defeat the waterproof side and allow moisture to seep through. So, I suggest removing that bit from the design. They wash up nicely. There were no washing instructions included so I looked at other pee rags for washing instructions. You can hand wash it which is great if you are out backpacking for several days. You'll probably want to wash it every couple days. I threw mine in the washer with a load of towels (front load washer, no agitator) and it came out beautifully. I did also put it in the drier on low heat for about 10 minutes. Then I hung it up to finish drying. I love the paisley design. They are very stylish. I think the price on these, currently $9.99 for a 2-pack, make it a good deal. I recommend these pee rags for anyone who squats to pee!

Rquite 2 Pack Pee Cloth, Pee Rag with Reflective Stripe, Reusable Absorbent Wipes for Women Hiking/Camping/Backpacking, Ecofriendly alt. to Toilet Paper We do a lot of backcountry camping and hiking. Carrying around toilet paper can be messy and if you are truly going to pack in, pack out you'll have to carry it all back. This is a nice idea to reduce the need for toilet paper. I was a little concerned that it would still be nasty to deal with. But, it nicely has a snap so you can fold the messy side in on itself for carrying. It is loose enough though that it should dry as you hike. The hanger strap also has a snap so you can attach it to anything and easily get it off when you need it. Now I just need to figure out where to hand it so that I can find it for those late night potty trips. It will be so much easier than trying to find the toilet paper. Another month and we will be camping. I'll let you know how it goes.

Such a funny product. But we like to go backpacking and these come in handy reducing the amount of toilet paper you have to use. You may be thinking, "but toilet paper is super light and super biodegradable so why bother with something I have to wash?" Well let me tell you, if you hike in a desert or more aired region you are often required to pack out your tp because there's not enough rain for it to decompose in a timely manner. PLUS, even if you hike in an area where there is plenty of rainfall (which we normally do) if you use tp you have to dig a cat hole to bury it. Cat holes are annoying enough just once or twice for #2 but they can very quickly become tedious when you're doing it EVERY TIME YOU PEE. And you really do have to dig a proper cat hole to bury that tp because a "shallow grave" is easily uncovered by animals/rain and then heavily trafficked areas of the great outdoors start to look like a halloween prank. Anyway! We haven't been backpacking with these yet but they passed the basic wipe test for absorbency and comfort and they're cute and compact and they have a convenient loop for hanging, and they come in a two pack! Win!
