Great product...
In my opinion ritetemp thermostat is the best product on the market. It is easy to use with great directions. Only one down side is that they reduced the LCD size from model 8050c and no back lite.

Dead on Arrival
I bought this one being the exact same brand/model # as my current thermostat which has worked flawlessly for 12+ years. It still does but the Up button recently became sticky, so I decided to replace it with the same model to avoid figuring out a different wiring configuration. The price is shockingly high but I went for it thinking that the replacement would be easy-peasy. The Amazon package arrived on time as always, however, the original molded plastic cover of the product had been cut previously so I had no problem taking the thermostat out without additional cuts. The battery compartment cover ribbon was chewed up, indicating that it had been used. Despite that, the unit itself looked ok so I hooked it up, but it DOES NOT work AT ALL. The screen stayed blank and no button could initiate it, including the factory reset. I am handy and tech savvy so the installation was done properly with the power off. Maybe the guy who cut the original package fried it? I don't know but I paid $220 including tax for a product advertised as NEW! Returning it tomorrow. Extremely disappointed for the waste of time. I long for the mom & pop stores of the past where you could touch the product before buying it....

SOMETIMES IT WORKS RITE
Manual is available online but support number and website do not work. Sometimes the unit will display low battery even if batteries are new. Sometimes it will display the wrong time. Sometimes it works fine.
