Handy.
I bought one of these for my teenage daughter and one for myself. It's slightly bigger/thicker than a regular pen. It's perfect for my purse, because it slides right into an outside pocket that I use for pens. (See picture.) The clip also helps make sure it'll stay there. I charged both for the recommended four hours and they charged to capacity without a hitch. As for the logistics of use, I think this one balances the need for quick use with the need for safety, so it doesn't unintentionally turn on. First, you have to flip a safety switch on the top of the pen to "on." It's small and has a little resistance so you don't accidentally flip it on, but it's not so small/resistant as to make quickly pushing it difficult (in other words, it won't hold you up an emergency.) Second, after you switch it on, you either push the black slider button forward for stun or back for flashlight. Then you push the round button to activate. The stunner will discharge only while you hold that button down, but the flashlight stays on after you release it. It's a decent strength flashlight for a little thing; it could come in handy. Anyway, the final thing you want to do is turn it OFF. So my final opinion on ease of use is that it's likely you'll be able to turn it on quickly in an emergency. Yes, you have to push a couple buttons, but like I said before - you don't need it accidentally discharging. The makers have to walk a line. The stunner sounds...well, like a stunner. We've all heard them on TV. It's no louder than others I've heard. As for strength, I haven't stunned anyone, so I can only assume it's appropriate amperage/voltage. This is a good deal and a much better idea than pepper spray, at least for me. (Ever had pepper spray unknowingly leak in your purse? Happened to me TWICE.) Pepper spray has the advantage of being able to reach an assailant at a (small) distance, whereas you have to be right next to them to stun, but when you've accidentally rubbed the spray all over your face and eyes like me, you might decide to go for the stun gun!

Definitely worth it no complaints
Wow I'm very impressed by the quality of this for the price. it is very strong and the LED light on it is strong itself it actually hurts just to look at it. The safety switch is conveniently in the middle which gives you better control and easier access and The shack emits a lot of noise which adds to the intimidation. I would definitely recommend

Worked for a couple tries, and then...
I was pretty impressed when I first got this item. After testing it a couple times, it shocked right up. And the light worked fine. I just pulled it out to make sure it's still working, and it doesn't have any charge. I didn't leave it on or anything. It just stopped working. I plugged it in to charge it, and it gets hot. It's bound for the trash now, because I don't want to catch my house on fire. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Shocking!!!
I like the size. Small enough to conceal easily. Loud when discharging. It scares me. Seems dangerous

Big things come in small packages
I recently bought the FIGHTSENSE Pen Stun Gun for self-defense, and I have to say, it’s a really solid product. At first, I thought it would be perfect for me since it’s compact and discreet—like I could just carry it around without drawing too much attention. The battery life indicator is a nice touch, so you know when it’s time to recharge. Plus, I really appreciate the belt clip; it makes it easy to access. Now, I have to admit, I’m a bit clumsy. I can just imagine myself accidentally shocking myself while trying to use it! But that’s on me, not the product. It feels sturdy and well-made, which gives me confidence that it would work if I ever needed it. Overall, I think it's a great self-defense tool, especially for women like me who want something easy to carry. Just be careful when you're handling it!

Not bad
For size and quick accessibility, I give this five stars. However, actual usability drops to about two stars because the safety switch requires two hands, making it difficult to deploy quickly if you’re caught off guard. Overall, I’d rate it a strong three stars — workable if you have a few seconds, but not ideal in immediate need or if you are subdued and only have one hand free
