I did not know about Innovv until I searched for the best dashcams for bikes. They have a wide range of solutions depending on what type of bike and riding you do. I decided that since they had produced several variations that they are pursuing the best design for various types of riders and bikes. Some people want to move one device among multiple bikes. Others like me want the very best solution for permanent mounting. The K7 seems to be designed for the rider who wants a “set and forget” solution that works every time you ride. It turns on and runs. I did not want another display screen, I have CarPlay and iPhone. I wanted resolution good enough to identify license plates. The K7 takes 2K video front and back to read plates. You can lower resolution to 1080 if you are more interested in smooth scenery videos since it offers image stabilization. I did not want vandalism if it could be avoided and both cameras can be hidden quite effectively. See photos. The GPS antenna has to be in the open, but that is unavoidable. The materials and build quality are top notch, especially all the cables. They have high quality screw connectors and are more than adequate in length. I suggest using the very flexible Wago connectors instead of soldering. They make for a professional looking result with the added flexibility of altering wiring as needed. The iPhone app works well, not perfectly as we have to expect for a new product, you can watch front and rear separately or side by side. A button and three status lights appear on your bars and tell you if everything is working. The button lets you snap still shots and it lets you flag clips you want to save forever and not get reused when your storage card fills up. You can tell they used ideas from bike riders to design this. It has WiFi with a fast speed to download video clips to your phone. I have had a need to contact customer service and they respond quickly and positively to my questions. There is a forum dedicated to the K7 so you can share experiences and ask questions of other owners. I guess the most I can say is that I no longer look for a better solution. The K7 has all the features I wanted for touring. If you ride bikes, don’t settle for a cheap automotive add on. Get one designed especially for motorcycles and with all of the special environmental and security features you need.

The INNOVV K7 is a premium motorcycle dash cam that records crisp 2K video from front and rear cameras, with electronic image stabilization to keep the bumps at bay. The lenses are wide 160 degrees to take in plenty of the road, and there's integrated GPS to track your speed and where you were so you can rewatch your ride later. It also has a convenient 24-hour sentry mode, which will automatically record video if it senses any bumps or tampering during parking. You can operate everything remotely through the app with a fast 5.8GHz WiFi link preview, download clips, or adjust settings straight from your phone. The cam's robust aluminum casing is IP67 waterproof rated, so it can deal with all weather conditions. In installation, ensure that the ACC (yellow) wire and red wire are both connected to a 12V positive terminal. Additionally, if you experience that you lose your internet on your phone while downloading videos through the dash cam's WiFi, simply access your phone's WiFi settings and clear out the gateway IP so your cellular data still works. I’ve tested the dash cam locally and plan to install it on my motorcycle another day.

It works great! video and photos sound even are all very high quality. Just make sure you want one or can use endless hours of highway and cars. Not that you can't delete or let it write over. I bought mine in case I did something stupid or someone else did something stupid. Then I'd have it recorded. But that contingency may never happen. So make sure you want to spend the money for the "added security".

I bought this for a BMW R1250GS Adventure. Installation took about 8 hours because I was being meticulous about removing all of the fairings and routing the wires through the bike such that it looked like a professional job. The system worked perfectly on first bootup. First the negatives... The microphone cable is way to short considering that the unit needs to be under the seat and the microphone needs to have enough slack to get to my helmet and not bind up. I bought 2 SanDisk high speed Video 512G video cards that fit the requirements in the documentation. The video is broken into files that are up to 5 minutes long. The front camera and the rear camera files are not in perfect sync and the audio for the individual files is muted for a tiny fraction of a second when the recording starts. If I am recording audio at the time that it switches files, it sounds like part of the audio is missing. It happens on both cards. For the video sync, no-one other than me is going to inspect the video enough to see that there is a gap. But when I am editing all of the little files into a stream for YouTube, it is obvious to me that they don't line up perfectly. Sometimes the anti-shake just stops working and you don't know it until you review the video. I did a 20 hour competition ride only to find that part way through a section of the ride the front camera lost the stabilization. The rear continued working just fine. But then when I stopped for gas and continued the trip the front stabilization started working again and the rest of the trip was clean. I had a SanDisk microSD that the INNOVV just didn't like. It worked fine in my computer and is good for storing files, but the INNOVV stops recording on it about every 4th five minute file and then starts a new file. It is like the INNOVV reboots or just stops on both the front and rear mid recording, and then 30 seconds later the recording resumes in a new file. I tried formatting the microSD and doing a chkdsk on it to no avail. So I got another card and it doesn't have the problem. You cannot see the video on your phone in real time while driving. My phone connects to the INNOVV through wifi using the INNOVV as a wireless hub. Their software on my Android phone displays the front and rear nicely until the bike starts moving. Once I start driving the video feed freezes on the phone. So there is no way for me to know that the INNOVV is aligned to record what I expect. Fortunately the camera mounts are solid so once you get them in the right place, they stay there. For the positives... The video is really clear even after driving through rain. I only had a problem with fog on the front camera causing the lens to collect water but it eventually cleared on its own just by the wind on the lens. The software that is recommended for it is very good for reviewing your ride. It has a nifty feature that shows you a map that tracks with the video to show you where you are in one window while displaying the front and rear in another window. Unfortunately, the software cannot write a video that overlays the front, rear and map to a video that can be put on YouTube. The free version is useful. But I bought the paid license to get more features. The system is compact and solid. The wiring is very straight forward and the cables have unique connectors so that you cannot connect things together wrong. If you have a BMW R1200GS or R1250GS, you have to go get this from "A Bike Thing" (see picture) Adapted Front Dash Cam Grill for BMW GSA ‘14 onwards. Innovv K7, K3, K2 (#GSA K7 GRILL) Other thoughts... while you can download the video from the INNOVV through your phone by connecting the the INNOVV as an ethernet wireless hub, the transfer takes a very long time and my bike will not stay on for more than 20 minutes without the engine running. So really the only way to get my videos is to pop out the microSD card and do a direct transfer to the computer. Thankfully my bike has a space under the passenger seat that is easily accessible by unlatching the seat. My R18 does not have a removable seat so this setup would not have worked for that bike. Would I buy this system again? Probably not. If I had a way to know that the memory card was glitching, if it came with software that made it easy to put my video on YouTube with the picture-in-picture and the map, and if I could have a real time view on my phone while riding I would definitely recommend it. But these are some big issues if you intend to use the dashcam for recording long rides to post to YouTube.

It took a bit of time to install on my 2025 Honda Goldwing, but the instructions and connections were very clear and easy to understand. The cameras have very clear videos. I bought a 512 GB SD card and you can set the DVR to record in 1,3 or 5 minute intervals. It records both front and rear camera in separate video recordings. You can choose to watch both views or front or rear videos. I didn't buy this as a crash cam, but for traveling across the country to record some of the sights to see.
