Good product, I was able to tap the core out to use with a magnet pendulum project. Would by again to save the hassle of winding. If you are looking for a coil for an electromagnet project, these work fine.

I bought these to rig up some magnetic pulse tricks. Each electromagnet easily handles a 12-volt 3 amp pulse. They also have a threaded back on the core to allow for easy mounting. In my use, I used epoxy to set them into a project.

I hooked this up at 12V, 1.2A, and the magnetic field pulsed, most likely because it was overdrawing the power supply. I swapped power supplies to 12V 3A, and that solved my pulsing problem. The field strength isn't bad. It does however get QUITE hot after only a couple minutes.

Works great at 24 volts, Tested at 12 volts and it barely had any magnatism to it at all.
