My eyes feel less tired and my sleep seems better
Iโve used these for two nights now and will update my review at a later time. I will say that Iโve noticed some improvements after 2 nights of use. I suffer from a lot of sleep issues due to bipolar disorder, adhd, medications, and family history. I have a sleep study scheduled in December and this year Iโve been willing to try just about anything. Iโve known about glasses like these for a long time but only took it seriously after another bout of restless sleep and sleep deprivation last week. To be fair, Amazon lost my B12 and D3 supplement which I was out of for several weeks. I started taking it two days ago so maybe thatโs part of it. However Iโve also had sleep disturbances while on the supplement. Iโve tried Valerian root and ZMA. Iโve bought a special pillow. I use an eye mask and try to use white noise. I do live 75ft from the interstate barrier wall this last year which I suspect contributes to my poor sleep. However as Iโve said this started years ago. Anyway, these glasses are my latest trial and Iโve definitely noticed an improvement. Ive felt more refreshed while waking up and my smart watch that I purchased a couple weeks ago is showing that although my deep sleep is too low and rem and light sleep too high, both deep sleep and rem have happened earlier in the night and been less sporadic after falling asleep. I know I need to get outside more often because I WFH and have a tendency to stay inside. But my habits have been to stare at the computer for work all day, my phone during breaks, and then the TV after work. I would sit downstairs until 12-12:30am watching tv with my boyfriend. Just never felt like Iโd get mentally tired but itโs also been a struggle taking Adderall. Last two nights Iโve noticed that around 10:15 - 10:30 I get this natural inclination to get up and start getting ready for bed. Iโm slowly moving my bed time back and seem to fall asleep okay. I feel more refreshed waking in the mornings (as much as one can be with the winter sunrise being at 7:30). I especially like that these wrap around. They block out almost all light around my line of vision and when I take them off everything has almost a blue tint and makes me squint. I use LED lightbulbs and read that LED has blue light more than the old incandescent. Iโm considering buying redder lightbulbs for the bedroom since I read those are better for your circadian rhythm than LED with the blue light. So far I definitely recommend these. I read a lot of reviews like I do with every project. The only thing I donโt like is that the stems are long but I have a smaller head and they donโt seem to push forward much at all even when resting my head back. The glasses do have a plastic cheaper feel to them which isnโt an issue for me. They arenโt fragile but Iโd definitely recommend keeping them in a hard case when not in use. 10/10 would buy again if they broke. And this isnโt a company that sends shady review us for a gift cards with the order. Iโm reviewing because the quality is superb imo. Oh and some reviews say these distort their vision. I had lasik in 2019 after wearing Prescription glasses for 11 years. These do not distort my vision to an extent I notice a detriment for reading or watching tv. I can tell vision is minimally changed but I think this is due to the curvature. It will make things sepia seeming but Iโve been using f.lux with the deep Orange night filter on my computer for years and prefer that anyway.

Better than expected!
I began to suffer of eye strain, dryness, eye floaters, a bit of photophobia since 2010 and snow vision since 2013. I used to watch TV in dark rooms and be infront of the monitor for hours, back in the day, however I had no idea why those things suddenly appeared in my vision. So I got very worried. I started to make a thorough research in every source available about the matter. I also went to the oculist doctor and he said that eye floaters are a very common condition and around 85% people in the world actually have them, but they just don't about the thing, and the only risk about the condition is when the retina could detaches causing blindness. The snow vision problem, though it is very common as well, there is no confirmed evidence so far of what the real causes are. With all the information I had at hand years ago, I found out that the blue light spectrum that artificial devices emit, such as TV's, laptops, cellphones, tablets, etc, are really harmful for the eyes in the middle and long term. I have to be clear with this again: The natural blue light spectrum that comes from sun light is GOOD for your health and eyes, but the artficial blue light spectrum that comes from electronic gadgets and street lights is BAD for your health. First, I bought a pair of Eagle Eyes. They are great for wearing outdoors, but for indoors they are very obscure. Then I bought a Gunnars and though my eye fatigue, itchy eyes and redness decreased, my circadian rythm was still a mess, so I thought I needed something with more blocking capabilities. I bought then the Uvex Skyper by Honeywell and they do really block the dangerous blue spectrum in a way that everything that is blue at that specific risk level becomes green or black, eye strain was gone and my circadian rhythm improved considerably. Although they work very well, the only problem that I see with the Uvex is that they are very bulky, some people say they are ridiculous and cumbersome to wear and they aren't polarized. I finally bought the Spectra 479 (BioRhythm Safe) and I was impressed by the very first moment I wear them on. Natural light comes to the eyes like a waterfall of light without hurting the eyes at all. Everything looks clearer and brighter and at night or when infront of monitors or the TV, then the harmful blue light spectrum is also blocked at all. Eye fatigue, with wearing this pair, is also gone and dryness in my eyes is no more. They include a soft fabric to store and clean. No rigid case, but I think it is just than enough. The only bad point with the Spectra 479 glasses is that the frame seems to be a little bit fragile, so I would recommend to be careful when handling them. For some people, wearing this kind of blocker glasses may reduce the overall experience when watching a movie, working in the computer, especially for designers, or playing a video game, due to the fact that the colors of things are somewhat altered, but then one has to put aside sometimes joy and comfortness for the sake of health. If you want to make yourself a favor and give your eyes and body the rest they need, with the best of protection in order to avoid future eye damage, then buy a blue blocker glasses. And in my personal opinion I would buy the Spectra 479 as the first and best option available.

Good Quality, Comfortable, What's Not to Love?
I love that these give full coverage. They're one of the few pairs that I have found that are this style. They're very comfortable. They don't squeeze too tight or too loose, they have a sort of flexibility to them, and they don't feel cheap at all. They will change the color you see. They're designed for nighttime use, but if I have a headache or my eyes are hurting, I throw these on during the day sometimes for a bit and I honestly think these make a HUGE difference. I have worn them outside before just as an experiment and it's actually kind of cool. I have another pair that's from a different company for daytime use, and I will switch off periodically between these and those. Usually I just use these for nighttime, but I used them for a while as my sole pair and my eyeballs didn't explode or pop out. I believe they don't recommend using them all day because your body actually needs some degree of blue light to maintain balance and hormone levels and stuff out of my pay grade (feel free to do some research). They will change some colors, but not all. You can still see most everything on the computer screen just fine. The only time I really had a problem was when I was sitting there staring at a graph that had a black background and multiple colored graphs (LTspice) and wondering why the graph didn't look like it was supposed to until I lifted up my glasses and realized there was a blue trace on there too ๐ Also once, my external hard drive has this annoyingly intense blue light that flashes when its on and I was wondering why it wasn't on one day, well... you get the picture. They definitely do the job and do them great. I am normally pretty sensitive to all the bright lights. I have things resting on top of various items around my room because of their annoying LEDs everywhere. It's crazy how many things are always shining! If you ever want to test these out, just put them on and look at your stove and microwave light (probably blue like mine). Love them!

A miracle for my insomnia!
MIRACLE for sleep! I have bought dozens of sleep supplements with either awful side effects or no help at all. For at least two years I have relied on antihistamines in desperation for 6 hours of broken sleep. Thenโฆthese glasses! I wear them for about 3 hours before bedtime. I take them off only to wash my face, and I keep my eyes closed. I wear them when watching tv, on phone etc., but also just in the lighting in the house. For the first time in years, I am sleeping 7-9 hours of sleep. I have a smart watch which tracks the lovely deep sleep and rem sleep I am getting. If you have trouble sleeping, try these glasses. If you arenโt committed to wearing them consistently, they will not work nearly as well. If you have been desperate for sleep, I highly recommend them. Ordering a second pair in case they are lost or broken. They are super comfortable and I adjusted quickly to softer colors on screens. highly recommend!

Helps with sleep
I've been wearing these glasses for approximately 3 weeks and have to say they have really improved my sleep. You have to get used to everything being orange and one of the reasons it works is because it's hard to be on your devices while wearing them. They really do reduce the blue light. Some letters and numbers are hard to see and reading can be a bit blurry. I put them on at 8pm around the time I watch tv. They also seem to destress my eyes when I put them on. I've ordered a pair of the clip ons for my glasses to see how they work. I can still use my devices when wearing them. Overall very pleased.

4th time's the charm.
These are the best blue blocking glasses out there. I bought 3 different pairs before these, the first ones had yellow lenses and only blocked a small amount of blue light (a total waste of time & money). The next pair were the UVEX safety glasses, which block almost all blue light so they're great for wearing at home, but since they look so stupid, you don't really want to wear them when you're out at night (like at the gym, for example). The UVEXs have served me well for almost a year now, but I wanted a pair that I could wear out of the house at night. So, I tried the Swanwicks. It seems to me that they don't block quite as much blue as the UVEXs do, and I really didn't like the style... they're completely flat with square lenses and they let light in the sides, which probably isn't a good idea when the whole purpose is to block as much blue light from getting into your eyes as possible. Seems to me you would need a wraparound style frame to serve this purpose. (Plus, the Swanwicks were crooked when I got them. To their credit, they gave me a full refund and didn't even ask me to ship back the glasses!) Now for the Spectra479s. Like I said, these are by far the best. They block as much or more blue light than the UVEXs, but they don't look stupid/silly... they actually look really good and I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear them out in public at night at all. They are very comfortable and light weight and they have that wraparound style frame to block your periphery. Do yourself a huge favor and buy a pair of these not only for yourself but for everyone on your Christmas list too. As far as I can tell, you can't beat the style, the performance, or the price, of these glasses!

A+++ from a Professional Standpoint
Speaking as a medical doctor specializing in Neuropsychiatry I must say that the Spectra479 Blue Blocking Amber Glasses are the most effective lenses at supporting regulation of a person's biorhythmic circadian rhythm. I've evaluated and tested many glasses, claiming to block actual destructive 450- 510nm blue light using both scientific and personal evaluations. As skeptical as most people are, these are not just Amber/ Orange cheap colored lenses. Through thorough testing of these lenses using both a Blue Light Pass Filter, and a Photodiode Transconductance Amplifier recorded measurements were analyzed detailing penetrating wavelength histogram levels of reflectivity and some refractive light, LUX, and color temperature. I have found these glasses to live up to their claim of accurately blocking the most critical wavelengths 490nm - 510nm with an overlap over lower wavelengths which ARE CRITICAL! Blocking high-end blue light helps with melatonin production, but Orexin-A and adenosine breaks s down and suppress its function. Melatonin suppressing glasses work by eliminating the specific spectrum of blue light. Unfortunately, this is only 1/3 the problem. During dark hours there are other factors of biorhythmic circadian regulations. Second to melatonin secretion from the pineal gland are hypothalamic Orexin hormones, which act in reverse. When refractive light at lower wavelengths enter the eye, specific neurons at the level of the optic-chasm trigger the release of a hormone (Orexin-A mainly) which tells our brains to stay awake/alert instead of entering a nocturnal state. Circulating Adenosine inhibits the response to melatonin receptors that act on the brains frontal lobe also contributing to insomnia. By covering a broader spectrum of blueโs beyond the 450nm-510nm range not only induces the production and secretion of melatonin from the pineal gland, but it also suppresses the actions of Orexin hormones and aid in the destruction of circulating adenosine (a third contributing hormone responsible for increased brain activity). To make a long story short, I have tried the โPopular celebrityโ brand and over ten other brands. As some may have claims of blocking blue light, they have not passed spectrometry tests for the blue light that efficiently cover the most influential wavelengths. Wearing these glasses may be awkward at first, youโll notice that itโs not possible to identify any range of the color blue as opposed to the competition. The human brain is a phenomenal piece of machinery that adapts to odd situations. Give the glasses some time, and you will adjust to the light. I have not seen these specifications anywhere else on the market. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE!! I am in NO WAY affiliated, associated, or compensated for this review. This review is solely written with NO influences. It reflects my individual opinion and knowledge in this field.

Just as advertized
They fit nicely in my face blocking most of my field of vision. I used them 1 or 2 hours before going to bed and so far they have been great. They block most of the visible espectrum most harmful for sleep and allow in the more warm, Yellow - Red wavelenghts. I mainly used this with warm dim lighting as well, to filter most of the blue light, since regardles of the color, if the lighting is suffienctly strong, it will wake you up. I am happy with the glasses, but as an improvement note, it would be good if they were to block all of the green as well, as i notice that some greenish lights can get through

Good quality for the price
I like how they fit on my wide head. Most of the blue blocking glasses I had in the past were tight and broke easily. They definitely help with failing asleep.

The best 99.9% blue light blockers on Amazon
They explain well on the packaging why other blue blockers are a gimmick and give the exact Nm light that these block which are in the blue range... Don't buy stupid 'transparent' blue blockers because they just don't work.... They have to be yellow or amber orange tinted in order to block blue light effectively! These are great and sporty stylish too! You'd look like a bio hacker extravagant with these... Pricing is THE best i have come across on Amazon or anywhere!! Go ahead do yourself a big one and invest in these,, my sleep has improved significantly

Game Changer
These blue blocking glasses have made such a difference and Iโm sure are helping me feel more relaxed before l go to bed. As soon as l put them on l instantly feel relaxed. They fit so well and because they wrap around l feel completely enclosed. I have a small face and often have issues finding glasses small enough, however these are a perfect fit. Highly recommend.
