Why is salt used in this product?

I don’t know why salt is listed as an ingredient. I have used these for a couple of years and they open my nasal passages … especially during allergy season. There are many scents to try; I use ‘breathe’.

Has anyone had issues with really dry irritated eyes after using this?

No. But you may have gotten on hands rubbed eyes. Simply wash hands

What is the aroma ? People say it smells good but what??

It smells like a comb of peppermint, eucalyptus and lavender the most in my opinion. It does smell good but the salts can easily come out of the opening so be careful using it.

Has anyone used the Himalayan salt and hammer before bed?

Yes. Mine is wonderful. If my nose is stuffy, I use it anytime, even before bed so I can sleep. After you use it, you will need to blow your nose if you have phlegm, and then you will feel much better. I will be getting some more, once my supply gets low. They have lasted awhile for me.
