Its really bright. You may need your sunglasses at night.
I recently setup this light near my pool, and let me tell you, it’s comparable to a light in a lighthouse—WOW, it’s bright! I plan to use it for my pool next summer, but I couldn’t resist testing it out early. I was able to light up my yard, my neighbor's yard, and even the supermarket parking lot down the street! This light is exactly what I was looking for, and I hope it lasts through the next few summers. I’m also a fan of the adjustable color temperature options—3000K, 4000K, and 5000K give you flexibility depending on the mood you want to create. I plan on testing this light again in a few weeks and will share some pictures in the dark. So far, I really like this light a lot!

Very bright light, but gets hot
This is a very bright light, but it gets very hot as well. My use case involves turning this on for less than an hour at a time, and it is OK for that purpose. But it does get uncomfortably hot by the end of such a session. The color change works well. The light and stand are strongly constructed. I wouldn't use it for extended sessions, but I will continue to use it.

Brightens a wide area
I live in the country and so you never know what critters are going to wonder up. We had expanded our immediate fenced in area for our dogs but the area was so dark at night and you couldn't see. I tried solar lights but they weren't bright enough and didn't het enough sun. I don't know how to wire lights so I needed something that plugged in. I thought I would try this plug in LED flood light. It was fairly easy fir me to out up. It works great and the plug was long enough for me to put up on my carport post. The only negative for me is I feel the bracket needs to be stronger. Also the allen wrench that came with it didn't fit the bracket screws. As you can see from the video the light wobbles but the light itself isn't heavy so I am hoping it holds up. It does attract little flying bugs but that is to be expected. It has 3 different light settings. The lowest setting was plenty enough for me. One other thing is it does get hot so don't touch it after it's been on for awhile. The dusk to dawn mode worked as it should and it does come with a cap if you don't want to use that. I feel it's a pretty good value, if it holds up as it should.

VERY Bright!
This flood light is very bright, and has no problem lighting up my small yard. But in addition to that, there are a couple of features that I think make it stand out above others on the market. The first, is it plugs in, not hard wired. If you decide you want to move this to a different area, no problem. You are not locked in to one spot. The other great feature is this is a dusk to dawn light. Most I see are motion sensor operated. This is for use in an area I need to see from my security camera, and not necessarily when movement will trigger a sensor. Over all, a great light, with features most others do not have.

Bigger than I expected.
This light turned out to be bigger than I expected—definitely should have read the product description more closely. If you’re thinking of buying it, just know it’s quite large. I was hoping to use it as an extra work light for my basement home improvements, and it might still work for that. It doesn’t have a switch, just a power adjustment for brightness. When I turned it on, it felt like a beam of holy light was shining down on me! If you need a powerful floodlight, this one’s well-built, sleek, and extremely bright. It's huge and bright!! Color selection is a unique feature
I have several of these LED flood light panels. This is the only one I've had that let's me choose the lighting color. Right now I'm using it in a paint/powdercoat booth so I can see the color I'm spraying under different lighting temperatures. For this purpose it's nearly ideal, although overall CRI could be better. It's dangerously bright-- treat this kind of like a laser in that you don't look into it and damage your eyes. It's hard to imagine brighter. We're reaching doctor operating room lamp brightness and probably surpassing it. On the cooler temperature it's almost hard to see an object close to the light. This is best if mounted some distance from the work area, like >15ft. This will light up a whole yard at night.

Control the color tempurature...
This is the perfect light if you aren't sure which color temperature you want before installing it. If you look at the individual LED cells, you'll notice that some are a pale yellow while the others are more of an orange color. The daylight (6000 K) setting turns on only the pale yellow LEDs. The soft white (4000 K) setting turns on only the orange-ish LEDs. The natural light (5000 K) setting turns on both (whether or not the natural setting is brighter, seeing as how ALL the LEDs are on, I'm not sure - it may be that they reduce the power when both types of LED are on so as to keep the overall output the same as when only half of the LEDs are on, but I have no way of measuring this). Long story short, this is a good little luminaire.

Flimsy mount on a great fixture
The ILLSTAR LED flood light is extremely bright, probably too much for my use, but it only consumes 200 watts. I mounted it on an old halogen worklight tripod, which only raised it 5-6 feet above ground. The directions advise mounting the light much higher on a building or pole for a larger area of illumination, but I wanted a brighter, portable worklight for nighttime outdoor work. ( With the extreme afternoon temperatures, after sunset is less stressful on plants, as well as myself. ) The fixture comes with an attached cord and grounding plug, as well as a cap for the photocell. It is ETL certified, and I have left it outdoors for 10 days through the searing sun, high humidity and violent storms with no apparent harm. The only issue I had was that the thin metal of the mounting bracket is inadequate to support the heavy cast aluminum fixture. If I had not mounted this on a worklight tripod, this might not have been a (minor) problem. Overall, a good quality flood light with lower power consumption and brighter, whiter light than old technology halogen.
