I love this scale so far. I need to lose some weight and know that I need to track my progress so I don't get discouraged. This is a great, affordable scale that tracks all sorts of useful data like BMI, muscle mass, etc. And also it gave me some "plausible deniability" in that it let me set the metrics for weight in kg rather than lb at first so it got me tracking my weight before I could face the number in pounds. (yes, I can do math, but this helped me ease into the seeing the reality ;) Also, I chose the black one so I can slip it under some furniture and it visually disappears when I don't need it. If I had bathroom with a light colored floor, I would 100% get the white one. I like that the app is free and I like that I can easily see my "trends" in all of these metrics. It was very easy to install and easy to navigate. You don't have to have wi-fi, which is nice as well. Great buy for the money.

My wife bought these scales and I'm glad she did. My goal was to fix my energy levels by losing some fat and then building some muscle. I was using the Keto diet to do that - not any paid diet, but just what I've learned from family/friends. I learned a lot about how my body works from these scales, though. For example, I lose weight when my calorie intake is lower than my BMR (after adding the few calories I burn through activity) and I tend to gain weight when I'm a bit over my BMR. Ok, simple enough. But, I also learned that when I lose fat, I also lose muscle. Exercise doesn't seem to make a big difference on how much I lose, but it does seem to make more of a difference on how much faster I lose fat than muscle. Similarly, when I am gaining weight from eating more calories than my BMR, if I'm exercising, I gain muscle faster than fat. When I am not exercising, they seem to gain/lose in about a 50%/50% ratio. So, if I'm not working out, I prefer not to gain/lose weight and I adjust my calorie intake accordingly. When I was really low on calories for a number of days (which I don't think the app knows), I started losing bone mass, too! I researched it, and it is possible and difficult/impossible to reverse! If it weren't for the scales, I wouldn't have realized the problem I was causing, so I quickly increased my calorie intake. I don't think the app was cheating - I really think it was measuring this using bioimpedance. I also try to weigh myself in the morning and at night. The app lets me filter the AM and PM measurements, if I want, but it was interesting to learn that I tend to lose most of my weight after a good pee when I wake up, especially if I drank enough water before bed (not too much, of course, for obvious reasons). Now, if you're looking for scales to weigh your luggage or something like this, I don't think the modern digital scales are a good tool for that - they seems to have to wait for the 4 feed to come to a consensus on how much each of them are holding (which changes a little as I try to hold still). These scales are a bit faster than the other cheap ones that we bought at Walmart, though. But, I did use them together to see if they agreed, at first (they were fairly consistent - just a fraction of a pound off, I think). I agree with the privacy concerns that other users have expressed and although I'm about to say "but", I don't want to detract from the fact that the scales and the app should be the only ones that need my data. But, having this data for myself was invaluable to my weight loss and gain goals. Even if my weight loss (about 19% off of my original weight) didn't totally address the energy issues (I'm starting to think it is/was vitamin deficiency), I have the data to know how to navigate my body to the weight I want it at and to know what's possible without doing damage along the way and what's not beneficial/worthwhile. Whether its these scales or another set of scales with similar features that works as well (maybe with better privacy policies?), I do recommend something like this for someone who wants to change their weight with data, rather than guesswork until you get results.

I previously had one of the cheap basic scales, but it broke and my wife and I were looking for something a bit better in quality as we continue our weight loss journey. When I initially purchased this I thought it was overkill for our needs, but it seemed more reliable so I took the chance. I’m pleased to say that this scale exceeded my expectations and works great! Setup with the app is a breeze, it measures quickly and consistently, and it captures much more than just weight. If you’re trying to be healthier, this scale will help you get there when paired with the app. Lots of metrics tracked and while I can’t verify the accuracy it at least shows you whether you are getting better or worse. It also integrates via the app with the Apple health app on iOS, which can be helpful if you use that app regularly. My complaints on this step from the app itself and are incredibly minor. First, the app automatically compares your most recent reading with one you’ve selected. So it doesn’t have an option to say “you’ve lost .5 lbs since yesterday” and instead compares it to a date you previously selected. You have to manually change the comparison date, which isn’t awful but irritating when you’re tracking day over day. Second, there’s a setting to have different tones for gain, lose, or maintain but no configuration for how much you have to gain/lose before it triggers those tones. Accept the system setting or don’t use it. Both issues are really superficial, and at some point a simple app update will probably address them.

Great unit. Small, thin package. Easy and quick to set up. The app works great. You can just track your weight or go into great detail. Seems to be accurate. Good deal.

My husband is loving this scale! He is keeping up with all his body measurements via his phone just like he wanted. Great purchase! And we purchased the measuring tape that goes with it as well, he is very pleased!

I’ve been using this scale for two days now, and I’m really impressed! It was super easy to set up and connect, and it even comes with the batteries you need all you have to do is put them in. The display is clear with nice, big letters, making it very easy to read. Cleaning it is also a breeze. As for the app, my scale automatically connected, and all I had to do was hit the plus sign for it to scan. It then took me to a page with all my information. The app gives you everything from muscle mass to body water weight, which is perfect for tracking progress or working on weight loss goals. I really love this scale because it tells me everything I need to know about my body, so I can stay on top of what to improve and keep an eye on. The only issue I noticed was a small scratch under the glass. It’s hard to capture in a photo since the surface is very reflective, but it’s only a minor cosmetic flaw.

Would highly recommend! I love the way it automatically connects to the app on your phone and provides very detailed information regarding BMI, visceral fat, muscle, water, weight etc.
