It was cold when it arrived and was quite grainy. It softened up when it warmed up. I also bought Vermont Maple Beak Balm which DOES have a pleasant hint of maple flavor and is very nice right out of the box. When warm, both products seem equally moisturizing. I had planned to use the Crate 61 as a Christmas gift but will use Vermont Maple Beak Balm instead. Review: Works well but not a ton of Syrup scent - Works well and feels really nice - but doesn't have a lot of maple syrup smell - will order again!!

Works well but not a ton of Syrup scent
Works well and feels really nice - but doesn't have a lot of maple syrup smell - will order again!!
