I bought the 30 and 50 spf for our Hawaiian vacation. We used the 50 on a fishing charter and did not get a bit of sunburn or even any tan. We switched to the 30 the next day while snorkeling. We got a little color but not burnt at all after being in the sun and water all day. We used the spf 30 for the rest of the vacation for a nice tan and no burns. I would recommend the spf50 if you want to completely block the sun. The consistency is a little pasty and requires thoroughly rubbing it in to avoid white streaks, but I highly recommend for great skin and reef protection.

Quality sunscreen. Worked well on our trip to Hawaii. Only mineral sunscreens like this are really "reef safe" and won't harm the coral and sealife. We used it while snorkeling, body surfing and swimming. A light amount, spread really well and rubbed in, worked great for me, both in the ocean and on the beach. This does take a few minutes to put on properly, because mineral sunscreens are really thick. But, it's worth it to keep your skin healthy and protect the environment at the same time. We were quite happy that not one of us got sunburned while using this.

I really like this product, I’m happy it’s not harmful to the corals!! It has tiny bead-like chunks in it but it also exfoliates so I don’t mind! It smells sort of like oatmeal which I also don’t mind but others might! The one thing that I didn’t like that much but wasn’t the end of the world is that it’s somewhat difficult to spread and you have to wait a little while for it to fully dry before going in the water otherwise it’ll be white and streaky (you can rub it in). Ultimately worth it though!

We purchased several bottles before a sailing and beach holiday in the Seychelles. I’m a very fair skinned blonde that burns easily and my husband has Irish fair skin and freckles and has had skin cancer. This sun cream was amazing- hiking, sailing biking, snorkeling and swimming all day for 2 weeks and NEVER got sunburned. It does have a gritty texture but this rubs in and saving the environment is worth a little extra effort- maybe you spend 1 minute more applying Reef Repair. Now I’m on a dive trip in the Maldives. I feel good about using this product for the reefs but am also thrilled with the quality of sun protection. I use 30 SPF and still get a light tan. I absolutely adore that this product is made by dive professionals in Phuket- my part-time home for the past 13 years. This is a great product at a great price!!!

The smell was very pleasant; almost almondy. It was thick when initially put on but once soaked in, was light and not greasy. The main reason I bought it was that it was 'reef safe' but it did a great job protecting my skin as well.

This product goes on well, but you have to use more to get 30 SPF. It didn't work as well as the 30 spf Creamo Daily Face Protecrion I used on the same trip. Nearly Got 2. Identical days; got pink with this, but not with the other. 3rd day, I put this on heavier and twice and it worked fine. Another person in our party used the 50 spf and also felt it wasn't the 50 it claims. (He got burnt worse than me, both with one application)

I bought both the SPF30 and SPF50 for a trip to Hawaii because it is reef safe, and found I really love it for using any time. It goes on nice and isn't messy at all. The scent is mild, which is great for people who are bothered by strong scents.

Living in an all year round hot country, it's super important to have a sunscreen that I can wear daily and is also reef friendly as I do a lot of diving and snorkelling. Reef Repair lives up to it's name and is perfect for daily use, goes a long way and doesn't smell like your typical sunscreen (no chemicals here!). Great value for money considering how long the product lasts and even if I'm not out on the beach/Sea I still apply as part of my daily routine. Big thumbs up! I've finally found a lifelong sunscreen to use! :)
