Why did you pick this product vs others?: Thought wood would be stained darker, as in pic. Construction and style are fine. Can live with the lighter (natural) wood color.

Cute box. Wanted to get something fun for my husband to put his daily medications in. Something to prevent them from ending up falling on the floor and pets or children getting to them. I like this because it looks fun, and is lockable should we need to. The one hang up I have about this is the measurements of the inside of the box. I actually measured the pill bottles to make sure it would fit in the box with the dims provided on the listing. One of the bottles didn't quite fit and needs to be laid down. Not a huge deal though and it still works.

This box is beautiful. It's so well made with absolutely no imperfections. It's a gift and I'm sure the recipient will love it. Quality workmanship!

The joint work on the box is amazing, the wood is not thin press board either. It’s high-quality like actual boards. Looks pretty good very old timey and piratey. I recommend this if you want something that is like a pirate treasure chest or even maybe a medieval chest. The metal straps aren’t glued on either. They’re actually riveted to the wood.
