Great cake and good value

First of all : sorry for my poor (and old fashioned, because learnt a long time ago) english. Now, concerning the product : when I first went to Englanc, it was the 60's. France was very "classical" at that time (and still is) and London was so fabulous, so new, so different, so "crazy". Even the cakes were crazy : 2 coloured ! Magic ! What a "shock" when receiving my Battenberg, and opening the box !.. I'll biy again, because no problem for the date : I had one week for eating my Battenberg, and... it was eaten the same day !!!

Lovely moist marzipan twinned with soft sponge. Value for money and delicious.

I order 2 cakes every now and then since they are favourites. They arrived in perfect condition nicely packed. And expiry date way to go! Will keep ordering them for sure - Love them!!

First had these in Ireland and couldn't find a distributor in the U.S. They are wonderful and arrived in a timely manner. I'll be ordering them again when they're all gone! They freeze well, too.

The product took a long time to come to us in France, although other packages arrived in the normal time. Unfortunately, this meant that the cakes were actually out of date by the time they arrived. However, we ate them anyway and they were very good. In fact, the friends we invited over for tea thought I had made it (because I had on a previous occasion some time ago).

As a long time Anglophile, I’d been wanting to try the Battenberg cake I’ve heard referenced in some of my favorite British shows. Yes, the shipping takes some time, but it arrived very fresh and well within the “best by” date. It was nice with a cup of tea, and well worth the cost for a fun experience and a pretty little cake! Would purchase again.

You can’t beat the full size cakes, and they are tough to find in the US! A very good value considering how far they have to travel and how hard they are to find. I buy them and freeze them and they thaw out perfectly when you are ready for them.

Just like I remember it. Very nice cake for being a mass produced product. However, I cannot justify the cost, being that in a shop it is a fraction of the price charged here. Nevertheless I enjoyed reliving the taste memories 😋.

We had never had a Battenberg cake before and we’re curious as to how it would taste. The cake was moist and had excellent flavor, but it was smaller than expected. If you’re looking for a new experience try this cake it was delicious.

This cake is my favorite British treat, next to Christmas pudding and Bakewell tarts! I was thrilled to receive my package days before Easter, only to be disappointed and frustrated that my cake was nearing the expiration date I received it March25 and it expired 19 April)) and it was clear the color had yellowed more than its usual color. I reached out to see if they would replace it with a fresh cake or just refund my money. I sent them photos of my cake and they insisted the date was fine and the cake was good. I opened it on Easter and it was dry and not up to Mr Kipling s standards. My first thought was that it expired in 2019, but they insisted it was 19th of April, it did not have a 4 digit year printed on the package, therefore I am skeptical. I was really looking forward to this sentimental treat for my children and myself, especially since my Mum bought this every holiday for us and she just passed away. It had more meaning this time around and we weren’t able to enjoy it. I threw it in the trash since they wouldn’t replace it for me. Lesson learned..ask what their expiration date is on the item you are purchasing.
