This is a product I have been using since the 70’s. A true go to for Steam water gas piping. Even used it on refrigeration threaded fittings by holding back from the first threads. Absolute necessity for replacing electric water heater elements. Have even used it on the face annd threads of unions that had been previously been tightened. Easy to apply fairly easy to clean up. You can’t go wrong. Good price fast shipping. 1 note a little goes a long way wipe off excess as you go and you will look like a pro. If you don’t you’ll end up with a yellow mess. But it’s really an excellent choice and easy to use.

I bought this thread sealant for fixing my gas furnace, needed to replace the gas valve that stop working. It does its job, I had no problem with gas leaks. It’s easy to use with the brush and right viscosity of the sealant. My advice, apply a generous amount to the thread but only on the male connector, don’t apply to close to the end since the sealant could get into the stream and clog the gas valve in my case. You can wipe off the excess once you’re done connecting the pipes. Make sure you get the right one, this brand has the white and yellow, yellow is for the gas sealant.

Great stuff. Still finding it on my fingers and elbows somehow. even helped to stop leaks.

It is nice and sticky and sets up soft so it is easy to change fittings.

Do not waste your time with gas tape. This does the job. Overpriced by about $15. Local hardware stores carry for much less.
