Love this stuff. It smells lovely and leaves your hair soft and shiny

i have long, wavy, baby-fine hair. i have oily roots and crispy ends. i do not own a hair dryer and don't use hair products except for the occasional glossing spray. no bleach/color/chemical treatments of any kind for nearly two decades now. i did my normal shampoo routine and applied this very lightly along the lengths/ends of my hair. left it on probably not as long as they suggested, just while i scrubbed my face. when i rinse conditioner out first i spray it lightly, and give it a gentle real quick scrub-through for a couple of seconds, then rinse thoroughly. and i think i either left this in my hair too long, or it just isn't meant for such baby-fine hair. it didn't really leave my hair feeling weighted down or oily or anything, but just.... flat. soft. but no volume. i didn't notice a chai scent at all, just a faint herbal sort of scent while using it. the scent did not linger on my hair as it dried. and i've been a chai drinker for decades (venti chai, soy, hot, 2 honeys if gettin' it to go from the green mermaid place) or if i've got a hankering for it here at home, i'll make it proper. so while i liked the scent, it didn't seem very chai scented (elsewhere in the world i belive "chai" just means "tea" so maybe this is a cultural misunderstanding on my part!) at thirty six bucks for one cup, i do not feel this is a good value for my hair type. it didn't take much product at all, maybe a teaspoon? for my hair so it will last a long time but it isn't meant for my hair. it is also quite thin and feels a little slimy in texture so just be aware that it is runny in the jar. that's not a negative, just a detail i thought i'd share. if you've got thicker hair or textured hair this might be far more excellent for you!

Smells amazing and my hair is shiny healthy looking after each use. FOR ME, I don’t need to use a lot of conditioner, like, a quarter size is enough for me.

I love this stuff. I use Fable & Mane shampoo and conditioner, too, so it's not a big surprise that I think this hair mask is amazing, too. It is easy to use and it makes my hair so soft and shiny! Smells great, too. It is supposed to help enhance color and make it last a little longer. I'm not sure about that because my hair is currently *mostly* my natural color, but it does tame the frizz that plagues my existence. I like to use it with my steam cap for some deeper conditioning. It's a little pricey, but I only use it once every week or two, so it sort of goes a long way...and it's worth it! Ooh, and my favorite thing about the brand is that they are 100% cruelty-free! They're even double-certified by PETA AND Leaping Bunny! (That's rare.) It's a great company and this is a fabulous product. All the stars!!

The Fable & Mane Shine Hair Mask is a quick but powerful treatment. I love that it only takes 3 minutes to work, and it leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny, and manageable. It really helps tame frizz and makes my color look more vibrant after each use. The black tea formula smells amazing and feels luxurious, but it’s still lightweight and doesn’t leave my hair greasy. A little goes a long way, so the jar lasts longer than I expected.

I didn’t like it

Thanks to the double-whammy of perimenopause and weight loss, my hair has been looking rather sad. I typically use Matrix Food for Soft and Olaplex Bond Builder, as well as a leave-in. I got this to try, and it's fine...just not awesome. I'm not a fan of the scent, which I find somewhat medicinal? It's also very runny, compared to other hair treatments, and I didn't love the texture of my hair after use. My strands are extremely fine, and I try to find the balance between making them look hydrated and shiny...and making them look weighed- down and greasy. I think this might work a bit better on hair that's less fine, and scent is just an issue of personal preference. It didn't transform my hair, but your mileage may vary. For the price, I feel like there are better options for my hair.

Got this for my wife, who has thyroid issues that have left her hair dry and brittle. She's really loving this mask so far- especially the Chai Scent, which is not overpowering. After just a few uses, her hair feels noticeably softer and shinier. One thing to note: it's not as thick as some other leave-in conditioners she's used, and she wishes it came in a standard conditioner-style bottle for easier use. That said, a little goes a long way. Does not leave hair feeling greasy. Definitely worth trying if you're dealing with dryness or damage.

Love this. I usually buy the holliroots as I love the smell but I'm on a budget and unless if was reduced in black Friday I wasn't going to purchase it. The price didn't go down but the shine mask did so I thought I was a good chance to try it. I love it. It smells lovely I could smell it all day yesterday it reminded me ever so slightly of the body shop ginger haircare range. Very delicate but lovely. My hair was super soft after and just felt really clean and fresh. The shine I'd difficult to measure as I have dark brown hair that is always shiny but I do think it felt a bit shinier.

I’ve been using the Fable & Mane Shine Hair Mask once a week for about a month, and I’m genuinely impressed. The chai scent is subtle but delicious like a warm cup of tea but it doesn’t overpower or linger too strongly.
