This breathtaking deluxe hardcover edition of Rachel Gillig's sensational gothic romantasy debut is available for a limited time and while supplies last. In the New York Times bestselling sequel to One Dark Window , Elspeth must confront the weight of her actions as she and Ravyn embark on a perilous quest to save the kingdom--perfect for readers of Hannah Whitten's For the Wolf and Alexis Henderson's The Year of the Witching. Gripped by a tyrant king and in the thrall of dark magic, the kingdom is in peril. Elspeth and Ravyn have gathered most of the twelve Providence Cards, but the last--and most important--one remains to be found: the Twin Alders. If they're going to find the card before Solstice and set free the kingdom, they will need to journey through the dangerous mist-cloaked forest. The only one who can lead them through is the monster that shares Elspeth's head: the Nightmare. And he's not eager to share any longer. Praise for One Dark Window : "Enthralling from beginning to shocking end." --Hannah Whitten, New York Times bestselling author of For the Wolf "Pulse pounding, darkly whimsical, and aglow with treacherous magic." --Allison Saft, New York Times bestselling author of A Far Wilder Magic The Shepherd King One Dark Window Two Twisted Crowns Look out for the special edition of One Dark Window , publishing simultaneously in September 2025. Review: I love this duology so much! - This is the second and final book in the Shepherd King duology, and it’s filled with dark secrets, enchanted forests, and the kind of atmospheric vibes that pull you in from the very first page. It takes us back into a world where magic and bargains come with consequences, and where love has the power to break you, heal you, and push you through anything. The first book laid all the groundwork for this epic conclusion, and here the stakes rise even higher. The characters are pushed to make choices that shake them emotionally and morally. This book has the perfect blend of mystery, danger, and eerie tension, the kind that makes you feel like you’re right there with the characters, stepping deeper into a forest where something both beautiful and terrifying is waiting. The characters are complex and flawed in the most realistic ways, and that makes them feel incredibly raw and human. The romance is slow-burning, filled with yearning and tension, and I loved how it never overshadowed the plot. The world building is richly layered with gothic tones and an ever present sense of dread that keeps you turning the pages. The secondary characters ended up stealing a piece of my heart, and I truly wish we could get a book just for them. The author writes with such elegance that it becomes impossible not to be hooked. This final conclusion feels both satisfying and bittersweet, and I know I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long, long time. If you love books with atmospheric settings, morally complex characters, and hauntingly beautiful writing, then this book is a must read! Review: An Absolutely Gripping Tale! - If you enjoyed the first one, you are in for a treat. The story gets intense filled with action and romance. I found myself flipping through unrestrained. While Elspeth largely remains trapped in a universe with no time, Ravyn and Nightmare are on a final mission to find the last card needed to lift the mist and save their world. But will Ravyn be able to sacrifice it all? A nail biting journey that truly seems unforgettable and unforgivable. The love story between Ione and Elm fills into the story beautifully. Their chemistry, banter all perfectly sizzles. What really stood out for me though, was Hauth Rowan, the evil prince. A character I so loved to hate. He brought in the extra edge into the plot that I savoured. An absolutely gripping tale.

Absolutely AMAZING!
I was so captured by this book, the darkness, the magic and the Nightmare and Elm. It was so hard for me to put down. I also kept finding myself wanna jump through the chapter, cause some of the cliffhangers was sometime too much to wait another chapter for. There was so much I loved about this book, I don't even know where to start. I completely fell in love with Elm and to my surprise the Nightmare too. And I was differently sobbing by the end of it. This series was absolutely amazing and I'm so sad it's over. This is the frist time in a long time I've wished a series would have been longer but I'm also glad it wasn't, cause it's perfect.
