I love anabars. Really feels like I'm eating a treat every time yet I know it's helping me get my gains.

Awesome protein bars that feel like a candy bar.

The flavors of this "variety pack" are so disappointing and misleading I feel obligated to let people know. This is in regards to both the "Crunch and Crumble" and "Guilty Pleasures" variety packs. Nobody expects protein bars to taste like a candy bar, so I do keep in mind that I'm eating a health food. But the variety of flavors is incredibly misleading to the point where it comes across as borderline fraud. If you were expecting a bar labeled "Cookies and Cream" to taste like some combination of dark chocolate cookie mixed with vanilla white stuff whey protein matter, this will probably fail to meet even the most forgiving expectations. The main ingredient in all bars is peanut butter. And the inside of every bar is much like the drier part of an un-mixed jar of peanut butter. Solid and chewy and probably just peanut butter and whey. On the outside is a thin layer of whatever flavor it says on the package. While some flavors taste like they have some chocolate, the main flavor on all bars is peanut butter. Pricey but most were absolutely delicious.

These protein bars taste just like candy bars. Little higher in calories from what I like but they are filling. My 10 year old son usually has one to get him by in the middle of double header baseball games which helps hold him over until our next real meal.

They taste completely different. Same packaging, but different texture and taste. I was disappointed.
