I purchased this cabinet because I wanted to replace my old metal 4-drawer cabinet following an office renovation. This is perfect. The color fits in with the rest of the driftwood trim I have. I put it together almost all by myself, maybe 90%. This is significant because I did this with one hand, not two. The instructions are easy to follow and there are video bar codes for a few tricky spots. I had to have help in a few spots so I didn't damage the particle board by misaligning pieces using only one hand. And this is a heavy, sturdy unit. I'm amazed at how well and tightly it fits together. It has a non-tip feature that secures the drawers in place and only allows one drawer to be open at a time. There is enough filing room to condense four standard drawers into these two drawers. This cabinet is cleverly designed and completely functional.

I was skeptical about engineered wood furniture and the sturdiness of it, but have been pleased with the quality. Still not as nice as solid wood but the price is decent for this piece. Shipping packaging is very good, even with some damage to the outside box, no damage to the product itself. Easy to assemble, just don’t over tighten the cams. I also purchased the matching desk and accent storage cabinet. Same results- all sturdy items.

Item came fast and and was packed well. Once together it appears to be very sturdy and looks nice with the matching desk and shelving I ordered. It took a minute to assemble. I was glad I had a power screwdriver.

I bought a new printer and needed a solid tabletop to put it on. So instead of just buying a side table, I bought this 2-drawer lateral filing cabinet, as it would serve not only to hold the printer but also all my files. I love that this looks like furniture instead of an obvious filing cabinet. The grey color is perfect with my office decor. It's very sturdy and easily holds the weight of the printer and both file drawers full of files. I'm not handy with tools at all, so I had a friend of mine put it together and it took him about 2 hours total. He did mention that part of the directions were backwards...but he figured out the right way to do it. It seems a little bit tricky to get the file drawer fully extended out, but it's not broken or anything....I think maybe I'm just hesitant to yank the drawer too far out. Overall I love this piece and it's a great addition to my home office space!

I chose this item based on its positive reviews, generous size, and flexible storage options. Other options seemed too small to be functional, and the reviews on the other choices concerning ease of assembly and durability kept me coming back to this one. It's hefty. Assembly instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. It took me over four hours to assemble, but everything lined up and fit together perfectly. The vintage black matches our new computer desk exactly. Most importantly, the wife likes it! Yes, it's a little pricey, but look at the reviews on the other choices and you'll realize you get what you pay for. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

This cabinet is fantastic and well made, but it’s not easy to put together. DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST! This will take you close to 3 hours to put together. A total of 28 steps. If you have time and patience, great. If not, this will frustrate the hell out of you. The small screws DO NOT go in easily. You will need a hammer to tap them first and then screw them in. I would give it 5 stars if the small screws weren’t so challenging and this didn’t take so long to put together. There has to be an easier way!

This is a beautiful piece of furniture, very stylish and sturdy.

Product somewhat rickety. Instructions not well written. Tried looking up online instructions through included QR codes in instruction booklet. Videos were either unavailable or non-existent. Worst of all, many of the instructions tell you to do things twice, such as when building the drawers, however, they only included screws for one drawer, not two (furthermore the instruction booklet indicates only one set of screws are included in the section that lists everything in the box, so you think you have everything you need if you check that list, when in fact you don’t have everything)! Had to use my own screws for the missing parts. Took over 3 hours to build with electric drill/screw driver. I would NOT recommend building it with only a manual screw driver, but you should have a manual crosshairs screwdriver available for the delicate steps, as there are a few. Building this thing is trial and error on a number of steps as it is hard to tell exactly what to do and WHERE to do it from the instruction booklet. This is not worth anywhere close to the price I paid. Furthermore, it can only hold a limited number of legal size files. It says it can hold all sorts of sizes, but if you think you are going to fill it full of legal size files, forget it. They only go front to back, not side to side. (I bought it for legal folders).

Very nice cabinet, easy to put together myself. Everything fit together the way it was supose to and no missing pieces.

Love this file cabinet. Has locks so you can't open both at the same time. Does not tip over even when full. Great purchase !
