Product description The story of Gabigna began over 100 years ago with the Brothers of Jose Maria and Ramon Gabina. In pursuit of a better life, two brothers left their hometown of the Basque region of Spain and traveled to soil, including rich coffee in the Southern Cuban Mountains. In this productive land, their plantation, Haciendabu Enos Iris, began its reputation as the heart of the local coffee community. At a young age, Don Francisco worked on the field with his father and learned the secrets to cultivate fine coffee. He helped the field's hands sow the seeds for hours and led them to grow small plants. Don Francisco also learned how to pick up and dry beans and over time to determine which is the best quality and not. From day to today, only the highest quality beans are chosen to roast under the Gaviña label. Today, these same traditions live in the Gaviña company. 4 children of Don Francisco, grown up in a plantation, Jose, Leonol, Pedro, and Paco, learned the art of brewing coffee from his father. A company currently located in America enjoys the benefits that this family has experienced on their own land. It's uncommon to get coffee from a family owned company that pioneered one of the earliest coffee farms. It is hard to find a coffee company run by people born in the art profession. The Gaviña family is dedicated to selecting the best coffee available and delivering the best value in today's business Directions Use 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per serving Review: La Llave coffee delivers a strong, rich flavor that’s perfect for traditional Cuban-style espresso. It’s aromatic, bold, and smooth with a deep roasted taste. Great quality and excellent value for the price. Review: I'm experimenting with pre ground espresso coffees for use in my Mokka pot and this brand, popular in Cuba,is excellent. If you're a fan of full bodied robust blends then this is for you

If you want a wake-up-and-face-the-day drink of java, this is the one! I make it in our Moka Pot. This is a great brand!

I've bought this on and off in the same packaging size for a while, but the last batch was absymal in terms of quality -- overly burnt with no depth that produced drain water in the cup, quite unlike previous packs and despite numberous attempts to vary the brew weight. It'd be nice to have a consistent, and even better, a consistenty good product, and I'm afraid I'm done with this one.
