Tastes great
on a hot summer day, this jallab tastes amazing. just don't use too much syrup so it's not very sweet and use iced water. way better than drinking soda!

Cortas Jallab Syrup
This is excellent. Very tasty and makes a wonderful refreshing drink. I’ve also used it as a part of a cooking sauce for chicken. Highly recommended.

False advertising.
The ad read: A sweet, delightful combination of grape molasses, rose water and dates, so refreshing on a warm afternoon. Yet, the ingredients are as follows: Water, sugar, date molasses, caramel (E150), citric acid, rose flavour, sodium benzoate (E211), color:FD&C Red No. 40 (E129)

Too sweet. Not quite right.
Was hoping this would compare to the Jallab I get at a Lebanese restaurant near me, but it seems too sweet and the flavor just isn't the same. I wonder if I'm mixing it in the wrong proportions, but they don't say how much water to use for each serving of the syrup.

Doesn’t smell or taste as good as the one I first ordered and which is no longer available
This product is horrible. I was waiting for my first order to be finished before I started this one. This one is sadly lacking compared to the first brand I ordered. Of course it’s no longer available.

Good product
The product met my expectations, it was my first time using this ingredient so I have nothing to compare it to but was delicious in the dish. I do get frustrated when a product is said that it will be delivered on a certain day but does not. I'm not sure whose fault that is but I am happy I ordered this for future recipes

Fabulous ingredient for middle- eastern dishes….love it
I love cooking middle eastern food. I add this to Moroccan slow cooked meals. It has a sweet- sour taste that can also be used in a vinaigrette. Any Ottolenghi fan must have this product in their pantry!

The description and the attached image show natural molasses, without sugar, but the received product has sugar added
