These steak knives are very high quality
These steak knives are just what I have been looking for. High quality Swedish steel, very sharp blades and sturdy... These knives show how much you enjoy having a great steak for dinner with family, friends and guests!!! I definitely give these knivers a 5 STAR+ Rating. You will not be disappointed

Choose your knife block carefully
The knives are very sharp, durable and easy to maintain. Like any knife they will spot if left wet or left in dishwasher. My wife uses our set primary as utility knives. I think she likes the size. We are very hard on knives but they sharpen and clean up easily. Being a harder steel they keep a great edge but we do have 1 knife (out of 8) that has a small chip. Chips are very common with quality steel kitchen knives with fine edges, don’t get me started on Shuns. Chips are cosmetic only, does not effect cutting and will eventually be sharpened out. The oddest thing about these knives is they can not be used in a magnetic knife block (at least out block). When pointed down the handles are top heavy and they will fall. We have to store them blade up, not the safest but no young kids in the house to worry about either.

Intimidating.
These are pretty cool knives. I almost like them, they're just still pretty intimidating. Something about the balance and sharpness just makes me really nervous to use them. (And somehow my mother-in-law did knick herself with one already while visiting, so it's not just me!) They're a cool design though. And did come super sharp out of the box. Despite the encouragement to hand wash, ain't nobody got time for that. (Or spare fingers……) We've been washing them in the dishwasher, separated from the other silverware, and haven't noticed anything terrible happen to them. I don't terribly mind the feel know that we're used to them but in some ways all the design accolades for this might have come more for the aesthetics than any particular functional advantage.

Kind Of Disappointed
You really can't get the quality you could in the olden days. For the $170 they want for these, these knives are about $150 over priced. For this price, I would expect a nice storage box for them, packaging that's not beat up and blades that the edges are nicely honed, I didn't get any of that. They are nice looking, although extremely large for steak knives. I also have no idea what makes them "Swedish," everything about them, steel included, comes from China, which isn't a bad thing, it's well, not Sweden. I can't recommend these to anyone when you can get much better quality at a much better value.

Stunning, uncomfortable to hold
These are amazingly gorgeous steak knives. I was so sad that they were so uncomfortable to hold. I never even tried to use them. Just holding them was enough that I knew that I didn't want to keep them. Between the hollow in the handle, and the narrowness of it, I just couldn't make it work. The quality did seem good - they have a nice weight. I gave them as a gift to a distant family member. Hopefully, they will be able to get some use out of them. For the price, I wish I could have used them.

Some really nice knives
These are some really nice knives. There's a lot of variation in knives, especially just table knives like these. It's really easy to get a pretty cheap and bad knife, and that's what most people have. It's also not too hard to get a really nice quality knife for only a little bit more than a really cheap knife, as long as you know what you're looking for. If you have really cheap knives, please just take the time to find some good quality knives that are in your price range, and you'll get a lot more life out of them than cheap knives. Also, it's really easy to get convinced by people who don't know knives that you should get serrated knives. You should have one serrated knife, a bread knife. You should replace it every few years, or find someone able to sharpen it. Any knife that is not a bread knife should not be serrated, as you can't easily sharpen them, and they tend to just be lower quality metal. A good sharp knife will cut through everything (except bread) better than a serrated knife. If you have serrated table/steak knives like these, you should really get rid of them for your own safety. All that said, and given that you can get some really high quality knives for still fairly low prices, you can also just really splurge and get really really good knives at a fairly high price point. These are they. What's different about these that make them worth so much more? The metal. These are made with some exceptionally high quality metal. They sharpen well, and hold an edge really well. They're just really nice knives. Do you need knives this nice? Probably not. Honestly, I'm not sure who needs these knives. I probably don't. You probably don't. But if you want to really toss out some cash for some really nice knives, here they are.
