Good value laser
Use case: I bought the laser to compliment my signal kit on my patrol load out. Good: This thing is super bright out of the box. Under the right daylight conditions, it can probably be seen at over a mile with optics or on a clear night with bare eyes. Bad: The attachments are not necessary and there is no attachment for a regular, single point laser. This means you need to remove the attachments to get a single point laser which leaves the light somewhat exposed. The switch is overly sensitive and sticks out, so if your use case includes putting it in a tight pack or a spot where it may be bumped around, it could turn on and run out of battery. I fixed this by wrapping duck tape around the end, making it harder to activate the device. I also wrapped it in a ziplock bag because I’m not certain of the waterproof claims but to also buffer the device for accidental use. Unknowns: Waterproofing, charging time, durability, heat with extended use. Caution: I wouldn’t use this for pets. It’s very bright and I imagine you could risk damaging their eyes.

Green laser light
Works great. Very powerful beam. Good for star gazing, which is why we bought it. The cats love it too. Interchangeable tips that change the shape of the light beam.

Junk 18650 battery with laser
I’m gonna be honest the battery that came with the laser is total garbage like the 18650 battery has barely any capacity it’s like they modified a 1/3rd AAA battery and put it into a 18650 shell the charger that came with the laser it is also junk picture 1(red 18650) is recovered from a laptop battery while picture 2 (blue battery in a charger) is the battery that came with the laser pointer I didn’t trust the charger that came with it…the visibility is decent with this laser and east to use but I do not know how long this laser pointer will last if anyone gets this laser pointer buy a 18650 battery if you want decent use of this I tested the distance it can shine like I can shine it 100s of feet like you can see the beam touch the wall of a school at the end of my street and this is the 1st time I’ve given a 1 star review for a product on Amazon I’ve purchased and I honestly wouldn’t recommend keeping the battery that comes with the laser unless it’s to return the laser

Reasonable brightness but some flaws
I just got this and looked it over, gave it a quick comparison test to my old laser pointer, and here's what I found. The good: The case is a single piece of metal. Aluminum from the looks and description. It is bright and well focused. The push-on/push-off button feels solid and not easy to accidentally double push. The not so good: It didn't work out of the box. Opening the battery compartment to check the battery it's at 3.99V. However it looks like it's installed backwards compared to other lasers I've used. Reversing the battery worked. So, it came with the battery installed backwards. The front piece that protects the LED and allows the accessory pattern makers to attach feels like it's plastic. This is a major concern because if the pointer fell it would most likely impact the front or back first and my experience has been that plastic breaks before metal which would expose the LED assembly and may scatter the beam. It came with several different pattern adapters that will give some cute light displays. The problem is that they are not labeled in any way to tell one from another so it's trial and error to get the pattern you want. Even a number or letter on the side would allow easy ID. When the adapter is attached to the laser pointer it is recessed in the front enough to make it hard to adjust the pattern without getting your fingers in the way. My old pointer has a similar attachment that is in front of the hood so it's easy to rotate. Also, when I was trying them out 1 got stuck and I had to use a very fine needle-nose pliers to get it off. I doubt if many people have these types of tools handy which means that the average user would be stuck with that pattern or damage something trying to get it off. The only documentation is a small sheet of paper that says I need to add an app to my already over crowded phone to verify this is an authentic product and see a users manual. The app is poorly rated on google (2.0) and has dubious security statements. The data it collects is not encrypted and can not be deleted. It also tracks location. Why would a user manual need to know where I am? No thanks! I don't need big brother watching over my shoulder all the time. I will use it more this weekend and if anything changes significantly I'll update this revue. So far: 3 stars P.S. The fancy case that calls it a tactical flashlight is fairly useless to me. I'll probably throw it out once I'm sure I don't need to return this for some reason The seller could save themselves a bit of money with a simple cardboard box. Especially if it's labeled correctly as a laser pointer and not a tactical flashlight.
