Dohm Uno (White) - White Noise Sound Machine

I've purchased three of these, which probably tells you everything you need to know. One for home, one for travel, and one because once you get used to sleeping with it, it's hard to be without.What I love most is its simplicity. There are no apps, timers, nature sounds, or endless buttons to figure out. It's just a real fan creating smooth, non-looping white noise that sounds natural instead of artificial. The sound is consistent, relaxing, and does a great job masking hotel noise, neighbors, or anything else that might interrupt sleep.I travel quite a bit, and even though it has a real fan inside, it's surprisingly compact and easy to pack. The low-profile design doesn't take up much space on a nightstand or in a suitcase, and it's built well enough to handle being packed and unpacked regularly.If you're looking for a simple, high-quality white noise machine that does one job exceptionally well, this is it. Sometimes less really is more, and this has become one of those products I keep buying because it simply works.

I bought this white noise machine to help me sleep better in our new home. My husband can sleep through anything, but I am an incredibly light sleeper and need background noise to rest. As you can see from my attached video, it sits perfectly on the nightstand, and I recorded a quick clip showing how the volume levels change when you twist the shell. Unlike cheap digital machines that play a repetitive loop, this one has a real fan inside so the sound is continuous and completely natural. It does a perfect job drowning out background noises so I can finally get a peaceful night's sleep.If you are a light sleeper who needs a real, mechanical sound machine to block out the world, this is the one to get.

I love this white noise machine! My doctors office had this and it successfully blocked conversations from the room next door so I purchased one for my home. I get a lot of traffic noise at night and this completely blocks the noise while not being too loud, like other white noise machines. I love how you can swivel the top to make it louder or softer and it is perfect for blocking street noise. The size is great too, fits in a tiny corner of my room. So glad I made this purchase.

Bought 2. The first started to rattle after being on for around 15 mins. Exchanged it for a second one. The new one also rattles but after around an hour or so. As a light sleeper I have found this fan model to make it harder to sleep. Which the whole reason I bought it was to help me sleep........ So I think there is a quality control issue and do not recommend this model. It cannot be placed on a carpet surface, so I tried multiple items as the base and none helped with the rattling. Not sure if the other models are any better, but I do not want to pay to find out.Additional information: After being in contact with the company's customer support, they stated that the Uno DOES NOT have the same motor as the Dohm Classic. Which is probably what's causing the issue. It is advertised as the same as the Classic, just with one speed and the entry level to Dohm. Very misleading advertising.

This is an amazing product. If you are obsessed with the sounds of fans I would definitely get this product I love the size and how I can take it anywhere with me as well as being able to adjust how loud or quiet I want it.

We’ve used a lot of different apps and sound machines over the years. I strongly disliked the Lectrofan sound. It masks sounds, but hurts my ears. I like the natural sound you get from rain sound apps, but they just don’t mask enough sound. This sound machine is the perfect balance. It really does drown out sound, but doesn’t have that tinny speaker sound that hurts my ears. We have two in our bedroom, one near the shared wall and one on the nightstand. Creates the perfect even sound throughout the room. Buying another to drown out sound so our new puppy can nap in peace.

This is a great white noise machine. I use it to help me sleep or else my tinnitus drives me crazy. It probably uses more energy than those machines that play audio, however there's no seam. It's a tad loud to keep next to the bed, so it's on top of my dresser by the door. I love that it's white, which is important to me. The switch is easy to click and durable. It's easy to twist the top to change the tone a little. I haven't taken a spectrogram of the tone, but it is probably closer to brown noise or pink noise. I love that it is simple and that there aren't lots of unnecessary "bells and whistles." I think the upgraded version has more flexibility in terms of volume and ability to change tone, but because you usually set and forget, I chose the basic one. I'm frugal and I am overall quite pleased with my purchase; however I wonder if a small fan would be better for me because I do like a breeze on my face while sleeping.

Another excellent product. I have been using machines like this one for an easy thirty years because it’s simple to operate with only the on switch and rotating the cover which changes the volume.Personally I don’t need a choice of rain or train sounds and in fact as I’ve aged and my hearing has gotten worse this is the only unit that I can hear because the sound is generated by a fan. Electronic units like what you can do with an app I can’t really hear the higher frequencies that make up the sound they produce. The design of the case on this one is an improvement from previous models in that the feet seem better designed to mitigate the tiny vibration that the fan causes. Previous ones I’ve had to put a pad underneath to tamp down the vibration. No pad required now.

Ha funcionado muy bien siempre he usado el modelo mas alto que cuesta el doble pero este me funcionó prácticamente igual, muy recomendable

Just as good as my old one. Bought this as a replacement for my 10+ year old Original version in which the fan was starting to rattle. I hope to enjoy this new one for many more years! It perfectly drowns out background noises and helps me to sleep soundly. I even travel with it and it's especially helpful in hotels!

Besteld op de Belgische Amazon... toestel heeft een Amerikaanse stekker. Ons voltage is veel hoger dan in de USA... onbruikbaar dus. Speciaal nog een omvormer bij BOL.com moeten bestellen. In de beschrijving staat overigens dat het toestel op batterij werkt... dom dom dom

THis is a simple white noise generator that uses a fan assembly inside. THis is a model that has been in production since 1962 and this company was the first to use this system. After buying and returning a Conair machine that uses looping I must say I am pleased with how this unit works. All it does is turn on and the fan starts turner internally and you adjust the noise generated by turning the top of the unit..simple and effective.... NO need for all the other digitized looping sounds that other machines produce along with extraneous noise.

Lo compramos 2 veces y uno funciono por 10 minutos y el otro por 1 mes. Contacte con el servicio a cliente porque realmente el tiempo que lo usamos nos encanto el producto y queríamos ver si había alguna alternativa. Muy amablemente nos explicaron que este producto NO FUNCIONA CON EL VOLTAJE EN MEXICO, y el motor se quema, así que hay que comprar el Dhom CLASSIC. Ellos me devolvieron mi dinero apesar de que ya había pasado mi periodo de gracia en amazon y pude comprar este nuevo modelo que es increible!
